I didn’t realize how chatty she actually was, the first thing i did was turn cuff to minimal dialogue lol they almost never talk
traversal is really fun. maybe they could have made the open world smaller actually, but being good at the controls it's pretty quick getting from poin to point.
actually was not expecting a whole new set of spells, so that was a pleasant surprise. just as I was mastering juggling the support and offensive movesets while fighting enemies I get a close ranged fire focused moveset to unlock and master next.
I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop on why reviewers are bombing it like people shouldn't even give it a try. I don't play a whole bunch of open world games so I could see fatigue with certain gameplay elements associated with the genre bringing down enjoyment. outside of that right now it's a 7-8, i'm not regretting the purchase so far that's for sure
now for my nitpicks. sidequests so far are lacking, they're just something to do while on your way to main story points, and doing a whole bunch of them at once can be a bit fatiguing. traversal and combat are fun and the fight centered ones are good because the terrain is switched up nicely where your fighting in towns or ruins so you can be straightforward or employ some fun strategy.
the character driven sidequests in cipal so far are a drag though, you talk to them and they have you follow them around and almost none of them so far are interesting so im just itching to get through their dialogue (carpenter, bard, council members)

I didn’t compare the story to Nier. We were talking about sidequest, Nier Automata is one of my favorite game stories

Welp, this is the 1st Steam game I've refunded. My machine can run CP2077 at 1440p 40-60fps maxed out with RT but struggles with this, a game that doesn't look nearly as good. Horrible texture streaming resulting in PS2 textures, even with upscaling off. Extremely long load times. Frey randomly freezes before dialogue.
Gonna wait for a few patches before I try again. Game seems decent otherwise.

Yep same here. Never had any Forespoken shyt on my recommends before even though I watched all the trailers then yesterday endless cacs on my feed saying how much it sucks.
Even has a eurogamer video titled “7 reasons Forespoken it’s the worst game of the year”. Worst game of the year? Like seriously; never seen that before.
