Worst part is the fact Enchanting was doing downright trashy, lowest denominator OF content. There was obviously trauma there.

True it was some conflicts interest, but as far as artist development, Deb was the one that made all of them stars because Gucci was literally locked up.

Gucci could pick stars but Deb was able to develop them. And the other artists he found didn’t pop until they got with other labels (Migos, Thug, Bankroll Fresh, Rich Homie Quan, Peewee Longway, etc).

This has been shown the last 8+ years because Gucci hasn’t been able to successfully guide a single artist, especially when he’s only signing high-risk artists.

Closest he got was with Pooh Shiesty (who already had a buzz), and he crashed out a few months later just as soon as he released his album.

What happened was so many kids in the 80s to now were born to addict parents and that addiction trait was passed down to them.

Add in the fact this is the generation that was introduced to medication like Ritalin and Adderall being prescribed to them as kids instead of them getting human attention. That’s why it’s so easy for them to take pills.

Then them being shoved smart phones in their face means they have access to see and hear the wildest stuff imaginable. Their concept of morals comes from things like violent video games instead of wise adults.

This whole interview is awkward because two of the 1017 artists from Memphis from different crews (Mac Critter & Sett) have street beef with the crew of the 3rd Memphis 1017 artist (Kato2X).

This was known when they were signed and the whole city knew it was trouble.


Wild thing is that now all 3 of their individual sets have beef with each other.
