Its not "negligible.
Theres between 12-15+ million illegals. Thats not "nothing"
Thats like 1/4th of the number of black people in the entire country.
All of your posts ignore the root cause, that the issue isn't immigration, it's capitalism
Wrong.
Don't tell me capitalism is the problem when black people weren't allowed to be capitalists. We want to eat too.
Its exploitation of their status as a border to the USA. Mexico did not do enough to stop it.
and how it's main functionaries undercut native low-skill workers because they suffer no consequences for paying immigrants, legal and illegal, a far lower wage than they have to offer a native born citizen.
They shouldn't be here in the first place. Who cares why they came?
Then when asked how to fix it, all you wanna do is blame the USA and suggest we fund their governments (I remember yall being against trade deals for some reason) and ignore that this is a 40+ year problem. This isn't new.
You are once again blaming the symptoms of the problem before you get to the actual problem, because then you'd have to reckon that the politicians you champion and the politics you champion which are textbook neoliberalism are actively creating this environment where you scream into the wind about how it's all MEXICOS FAULT when the reality is that it's societies fault for allowing companies to exploit these people and give them incentives to draw them here on top of the thousands of other factors that influence the migration of peoples from a South America that the US has spent the better part of it's existence destabilizing and interfering with.
This is just buzzword bullshyt.
You were literally talking about creating solutions but now you have a problem with "neoliberalism"
That word is more useless in 2018 than a typewriter.
You dont know what it means and you use it when you don't even know that you're contradicting yourself.
We have enough low wage unskilled labor. We shouldn't undercut BLACK American's who try to get some skin in the game.
There's less than a handful of studies that promote the ideology that Immigration is the primary driving cause of African American wages decreasing, these studies are overwhelmingly funded by think tanks like the RAND corporation, I can just as easily find studies
The Effects of Immigration on the United States’ Economy
Why aren't you talking to BLACK labor?
What are you afraid of?
About the net benefit of immigration on the US economy specifically for people in the lower income brackets. There is minimal supporting evidence that there is active causation between the increase in immigration from 1960 on to the marginal decrease in black involvement in the labor market. Most of those "studies" (which in reality are composed by neo-con hard right people that, for instance, believe that white people have a naturally higher IQ) in the actual log data show that WHITE low skill workers are actually more impacted by immigration.
Is this a white Neo-con pushing race science?
Don't hit me with that Charles Murray Heritage Foundation/CATO/AEI bullshyt.
I know EXACTLY where I stand. The only one is YOU.
