I love how none of you have the fortitude to talk about how these effects have ruined black labor.
You want black folks picking lettuce by hand for $3 an hour?

Tell your Wall Street Democrat heroes to stop having heart attacks every time the market dips because there's talk of wages rising.

100% tax on multimillionaires, behead the billionaires, unionize every workforce, and citizenship handed freely to every person that shows up, just like Ellis Island was.

America, the land of the Worker :blessed:

Ask the conservative businessmen who hire them to work their fields, factories, warehouses, restaurants, etc. :sas1:

Your parents immigrated here. And I don't trust their paperwork. Very possibly fraudulent. Let's get ICE on the case. In the meantime, you need to be detained, you alien. Who knows what diseases or drugs you've brought in here. This is my house, not yours, foreigner.:umad:

I hear the plague still exists in India. Quarantine the b*stard.

I obviously don't have a clue how much it would cost, but the initial internal estimates claimed $25 billion, and others have claimed up to $70 billion.

But there is no "end cost", as it would require constant upkeep and maintenance. You'll notice that we're already spending billions to repair and replace the parts of the wall/fence that are already up. That would never end. And the longer that coyotes and drug runners and the rest had to work on defeating the wall, the more our costs for defending would continue to rise regardless of whether the wall was there or not.

Now, on the other hand think about this. Guatemala's entire government's budget is only $9 billion/year. Nicaragua is only $4 billion/year. Honduras? $5 billion. For a fraction of the cost of the wall, we could help them address some of the problems that OUR GOVERNMENT caused in those countries so you wouldn't have hundreds of thousands of people trying to flee their homeland anymore. Then you would solve a large part of the border crossing issue AND the gang issue and a small part of the drug issue, by addressing the root cause instead of a giant bandaid. And it wouldn't be the environmental disaster or ugly xenophobic image of the wall either.

Then in the USA you could address the war on drugs in a productive way that at the least would stop a considerable amount of the drug flow (decriminalization) and at best would reduce the number of addicts and the power of crime networks and gangs while improving communities. That probably wouldn't even cost anything, it would be a net gain because of all the savings due to lower prison population and ability to redirect police resources.

We don’t treat the disease, we put bandaids on wounds and look tough doing it.

Go somewhere with all your logic and reason.

you want the same standard as Ellis Island huh?

4. Immigrants were subject to physical and mental exams to ensure they were fit for admittance to the United States.
Upon arrival at Ellis Island, immigrants were ushered into a room called the Great Hall and paraded before a series of medical officers for physical inspection. Most were allowed to pass by in a matter of seconds, but those whom the doctors deemed physically or mentally deficient were marked with chalk and taken away for additional screening. Questionable candidates were forced to submit to more detailed questioning and medical exams, and any signs of contagious disease, poor physique, feeblemindedness or insanity could see an immigrant denied admittance on the grounds that they were likely to become a ward of the state. In later years, doctors at Ellis Island even devised puzzles and memory tests to ensure that certain immigrants were intelligent enough to find work. New arrivals could also face rejection if they were anarchists, had a criminal record or showed signs of low moral character. Despite the litany of guidelines for new immigrants, the number of people denied entry at Ellis Island was quite low. Of the 12 million people who passed through its doors between 1892 and 1954, only around 2 percent were deemed unfit to become citizens of the United States.

8. It eventually became more famous for deportations than immigration.
Ellis Island’s role as a gateway for immigrants began to change in the early 1920s, when a series of federal laws ended the open door immigration policy and established quotas for the number of new arrivals to the United States. By 1925, the government had also shifted the inspection process from American ports to the U.S. consulates abroad, leaving Ellis Island to operate primarily as a detention center and deportation point for undesirable immigrants. The island was used to imprison and evict suspected communists and political radicals during the Red Scare (anarchist Emma Goldman was a notable deportee), and later served as a detention center for communists during the Cold War. The government’s legally ambiguous detainment policies eventually spawned a series of high profile lawsuits that stained Ellis Island’s reputation with the American public. In November 1954, the port was closed for good as part of a federal cost-saving measure.

Are the businessmen in California all Democrats?

And how many state legislatures are controlled by Republicans?

Let's face it: the business wing of the government wants slave labor.

That's why I say citizenship for all. A new emancipation proclamation. Full rights for everyone working here.

:blessed:

Agree with the bolded. The rest is a joke.

Within our current system, you are calling for $15 minimum living wages on one hand and openly advocating for illegals to keep coming and to do work that undercuts those wages with your other hand:hhh:

No, I'm seriously suggesting we give US citizenship to the entire world. We're the empire. We run this shyt. We exploit the globe. Why not start being nice and treat everybody decently instead of this worldwide sweatshop slavery racket? Why not? Who can stop us?
