This is big because the structure of the deal isn't regular, Birdman's Cash Money deal allows him to operate independent with major distribution, but of course revenue is shared. The article says Cash Money gives UMG 7% wholesale per album in exchange for distribution, which is what 50 Cent also has.

Silly of me to tell a nikka worth 100's of millions how to run his business but me being an expertise in marketing I think he should've rebranded G-Unit by taking the G off the name and just rocked with The Unit. G-Unit is synonymous with everything outdated. It's like Fubu trying to comeback, it won't happen but if the Fubu nikkas came out with a new name for their shyt with a different flavor they could make another run. Just my opinion.

I heard this strategy did wonders for Murder Inc.
