you got to understand some people are just driven to want more... most folks you give them 5 million dollars they wont bother to put effort into making any more money. Some people however are different, they will always want more as long as they draw breath. 50 is one of those people that have that "animal ambition".

Once you come to accept that 50 wants to continue to make more money regardless of how much he has, you got to realize, 50 probably doesn't care too much about the actual music career as much as he does about the leverage that being a successful rapper brings to his marketing machine. 50 made probably 20 times as much money marketing vitamin water as he has made off of his actual music and touring. Dr. Dre probably has made more money marketing Beats By Dre headphones as he has received from his actual music career. Jay-Z is probably in a similar situation. Puffy i am not quite sure where he made the majority of his money from, but he certainly has hung on to his music career for the last decade more to leverage the fame than he actually is persuing selling a lot of records...

Dre was a good example but I think you are misunderstanding my point.

I didn't mean he should chill and not work anymore, what I was saying is that obviously 50 got mad capital. He can just invest, start new ventures or buy some shxty soda company nobody ever heard of make it pop and sell it AGAIN. What I don't understand is why he's still trying to chase a music career that is way past due.

Now back to Dre, dude hasn't put out an album since 1999, but nikkas still know who he is, why? Cuz his "legend" stayed with him, Dre didn't flop 10 singles in a row, didn't try to force new music out (even though it's beyond "delayed") but still he played the financial game right and now he's the owner of prolly the most profitable headphones brand and recently invested millions in a University a few miles from where he grew up.

That's what I would expect from 50 now, not singles with everybody from Alicia Keyes, to Adam Levine and Kendrick..

Exactly and nikkas never knew the Fubu nikkas owned it until they had already played it out. nikkas was saying talking about how wack Fubu was while rocking some Coogi shyt that was even more expensive.
Yeah, I remember back on SOHH I was telling dudes that Coogi "urban" was ran by the FUBU guys lol. shyt was hilarious, because in that thread there were dudes shytting on FUBU, and telling people to cop Coogi. Lmao.

Why does he still want to hang on to a past dead music career? :heh:

If I was 50 I'd be happy to be done with the rap game stress and constant shxt talking by fans, media and other bxtch a$$ rappers and be a business mogul full time making moves :manny:

That's just me tho

Because he loves hip hop, that shyt is evident breh.

Like I said in another thread, Fif can make this work if he signs some new talent that can get that grassroots/indie/internet/hipster/industry plant type of attention. He would have to play the background though because his name ain't worth much musically at the moment.
