Superstar
Monroe is in the top echelon of PF's in the league, and is still developing/getting better imo. He only played two years at G-Town learning the rest of his trade in the League. He runs the floor well, excellent foot work, has quick hands, has elite post moves, has mid range, has elite court vision for a big man. His main problem (what it seems like from complaints in regards to boards and defense) is that he doesn't have any hops/cant jump out of the gym. He gets good positioning for a board, but cats jump over his back (illegally) and steal the rebound. Monroe is one of the most disrespected players in the League in relation to getting calls, yes he gets stripped from holding the ball too low at times, but he also gets hacked quite a bit., and as i mentioned dudes go over his back often.
If you want him to be productive night in/night out, then feature him in the offense as the #1 option
Austin daye got highlight reels too. That don't mean he upper echelon.
He has horrible hands, is 6'11 and can barely dunk sometimes, just because you can make a fancy pass every now and then does not mean your a good passer. His TO are way too high. And he has not developed his mid range, in fact he taking even less mid range shots that last year. You have to be a super star to bet superstar call. I remember garnet told him to stop complaining to refs so much, when he was giving monroe advice.
Monroe too old to be all potential. At this point his potential is going to get joe d and cheeks fired. He needs to take next step now.
