A lot of people don't speak with qualifiers and instead rope in all people. They say "black men", "black women", and so on instead of "some black men" or "some black women". The former will understandably draw ire since there are often times, many people who this does not pertain to. So it should be based around how you speak on the issue. It's hard since even I make that mistake from time to time and may be doing that now.
That said, some black men are scared and have that "momma is going to yell at me energy". It's weird. I've noticed it more in the US and UK than in most places. Even when black people from very patriarchal areas, when they move to the US or UK (I've never paid attention to other places as much), they go full male feminist, making me think it is an issue of living in a society dominated by white, maybe white male, people than anything else. It makes me wonder how would these people be outside these societies or one entirely of their own making.
