Not at all. Jarret Swift Hurd kicked Lara’s ass earlier this year, really beat the shyt out of him, and he only won bc of a knockdown in the 12th round.Again, dumb argument that has nothing to do with anything. I've been a boxing fan for years. Are you disputing that it was a close fight? I don't think even Canelo would agree with you on that one.
I dont think ggg is great and I think he was afraid of Ward when they negotiating..which is why he backed down.Right but he hasn’t dominated like he was suppose like he was hyped to.
Dude is a good fighter but he isn’t great like the hyped him up to either. Like isn’t is said good fighter and also fun to watch fighter a and fun to watch.
He clearly didn't do that though...
He was peppering the jab, not sticking it and setting up power punches behind it...
The reason for that was Nelo was countering any punch that wasn't straight (Roy called this out around round 4) with a hard left hook to the body...
You could clearly see G hunching over and lowering his guard to protect his mid section around round 4-5...That is what you call clean and effective punching...
Anybody got @GzUp on suicide watch yet?
Roy Jones even said GGG's jab was giving Canelo problems, and that was during the fight.Anyone who says that GGG was controlling the fight with his jab while simultaneously getting backed up the whole fight is lying to themselves. If he was keeping him honest with the jab, Canelo wouldn't have been able to keep moving forward like he did.
I didn't hear the commentary for the fight because I was in a bar so I don't know the context of that comment but my point still stands. He wasn't controlling the fight with his jab. Never once did I think during the fight that GGG was "in control" and determining the pace. He came on more in the later rounds but it was still not his fight which is the point analysts like RJJ and Ward are making post-fight.Roy Jones even said GGG's jab was giving Canelo problems, and that was during the fight.

Here's a round of Mayweather/Canelo of Floyd controlling the round and setting things up with his jab. Something that GGG was NOT doing last night.

That's how the fukk you control distance & your opponent with the jab. Another example & I time stamped so people can watch the first round
