Again, dumb argument that has nothing to do with anything. I've been a boxing fan for years. Are you disputing that it was a close fight? I don't think even Canelo would agree with you on that one.
Not at all. Jarret Swift Hurd kicked Lara’s ass earlier this year, really beat the shyt out of him, and he only won bc of a knockdown in the 12th round.

Right but he hasn’t dominated like he was suppose like he was hyped to.

Dude is a good fighter but he isn’t great like the hyped him up to either. Like isn’t is said good fighter and also fun to watch fighter a and fun to watch.
I dont think ggg is great and I think he was afraid of Ward when they negotiating..which is why he backed down.

Hagler knocks ggg out

He clearly didn't do that though...

He was peppering the jab, not sticking it and setting up power punches behind it...

The reason for that was Nelo was countering any punch that wasn't straight (Roy called this out around round 4) with a hard left hook to the body...

You could clearly see G hunching over and lowering his guard to protect his mid section around round 4-5...That is what you call clean and effective punching...

I was gonna emphasize this & I'm glad someone finally said it. People bringing up his jabs #'s are either biased or don't watch enough boxing. GGG's jab was not that effective outside of maybe the first round & spots here & there through the fight. His jab never controlled distance because Canelo fought in the spots & distances HE wanted to all night. GGG's jab barely disrupted Canelo from doing what he wanted to do. GGG's jab was way more effective against Danny Jacobs & even then he arguably lost that fight. If these people wanna talk & use the jabs as a reason he won then they need to watch Larry Holmes, Lennox Lewis, Wlad Klitsch, Tommy Hearns, Emile Griffith, Ike Quartey, & even Winky Wright if they wanna see an effective jab that controls distance & the opponent. It's mad irritating reading this shyt lol

Anyone who says that GGG was controlling the fight with his jab while simultaneously getting backed up the whole fight is lying to themselves. If he was keeping him honest with the jab, Canelo wouldn't have been able to keep moving forward like he did.
Roy Jones even said GGG's jab was giving Canelo problems, and that was during the fight.

I didn't hear the commentary for the fight because I was in a bar so I don't know the context of that comment but my point still stands. He wasn't controlling the fight with his jab. Never once did I think during the fight that GGG was "in control" and determining the pace. He came on more in the later rounds but it was still not his fight which is the point analysts like RJJ and Ward are making post-fight.

Here's a round of Mayweather/Canelo of Floyd controlling the round and setting things up with his jab. Something that GGG was NOT doing last night.

Floyd is Floyd though. Lara and Trout both outboxed Canelo and he still got the decision. Besides that still doesnt mean GGG didnt do enough to win, 2nd half of the fight GGG made adjustments to how the fight was going:manny:. Cats in here talking about Canelo whooped his ass one sided are wrong.

Floyd washed him but the rest of Canelo's big fights have question marks. Im not sold on him being a dominate force.

That's how the fukk you control distance & your opponent with the jab. Another example & I time stamped so people can watch the first round

when canelo throws a punch, count on your hand how many seconds go by before he starts another punch, in that time, golovkin will have been punching. you cant let a guy fill up your dead gaps. you turn a fight that you dominate, to a controversial decision, where close rounds are scored on a whim, by fans who are only looking at one fighter and so only score for that fighter.
