I was hoping the same. JJ had his good moments last year but damn paying all that to a guy who finally broke out at age 30? a "glue guy" at that. in sacrifice for maybe adding another player. JJ should be doing Miami a favor, not the other way around. so I hope that report is false. Miami paid him more money last season than he's ever made in the nba. 14 million would have been the absolute most I would give him if its me.I was hoping we would have left something on the table for Gay
Dragic/TJ
Waiters/Rich/Ellington
Winslow/McGruder/Babbitt
JJ/Gay
Whiteside/Bam/UD
+ Okaro and other FA wouldn't be a bad team. Lost in all of this, I cant believe we haven't attached cash to McTheif to have him shipped out yet

I think the OKC deal he turned down was 3 for 16 that they ended up giving to Patterson. Per year its probably the same amount he'd get with our exception factoring in taxes, or atleast in the same ballpark.I was hoping the same. as for the exception for Gay, that would be some major backwards hustling by him. he opted out out of like 16 milly from the kings OKC wanted him, but thats dead now. Utah wanted him, but they might get Crowder now in a trade. maybe his options are all about gone. but him taking 4.3 million, which is what the exception would be, is hard to believe
Yeah, he is. He brings elite defense and would be the fourth option behind Whiteside/Waiters/Dragic and maybe James Johnson. Furthermore, if people said the same about Giannis, Hayward, PG or Kawhi(elite players that became great in year 3/4). I am willing to give him a chance.
His defense wasn't elite. Look up the numbers. Players he gaurded shot above 60% from the field last season. Can't blame that on a bum wrist.

Players shot 34% from 3 against Justise, which is below average.
Players shot 39% from midrange against Justise, which is below average.
The only instance in which an opponent shot 60% against justise in the 18 games he played were shots less than 10 feet from the hoop.
Also, anyone with eyes can see Justise is a great defender.
They need to pick a street, if the goal is to win, Winslow isn't a starting sf. Dude was one of the worst players in the league last year. You can "develop" him off the bench
Winslow was 100% useless on offense. That scrub made 2014-15 Norris Cole or 2014 playoffs Mario look like Stephen Curry. He posted a .399 true shooting percentage last year. By comparison, the worst mark that Ricky Rubio has ever posted was a .475 as a rookie. He may legit have the single worst offensive game in the entire NBA. His best season to date was averages of 6.5 points and 1.5 assists on a 42/27/66 shooting slash. We should've tried to trade him at the deadline while his name had some value. I don't see him ever developing into anything more than a liability on offense.http://on.nba.com/2sJPR1T

You gotta earn the right to be called a good NBA player. Until you are, you're not:Oakley:
