The emergence of Waiters (and to a lesser degree McGruder) makes me think they're going to have to make a decision on Rich/TJ real fast. If D-wait reups I have to imagine its on a 3 or 4 year deal, which is fine with me, he's 25 so we'll be getting his best years. But you cant sign Waiters and still retain Rich (Rfa) next summer without dealing TJ. Too many guys at the same position since neither of them can play the point and both lack desirable size to cover most 3s. Problem is I dont know who you keep, both are somewhat fragile, TJ is more scorer than shooter, Rich more shooter than scorer.

Because there is no recruiting in the draft, nothing like what Mourning went through before signing to play for John Thompson at Georgetown, NBAteams don't have to sell themselves to prospects before the June 22 draft at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

But the Heat, with what they have done with players during the Pat Riley administration, apparently have done just that. An agent with a leading prospect in the draft confided privately prior to the lottery that he would prefer nothing than to be able to steer his neophyte client to the Heat.

I wouldnt rule out packaging TJ with McThief for an additional pick this year if a run at Melo fails. Portland could have been an ideal trade partner if they didnt go buckwild in FA last year

Yeah they've got to move him, especially if they can package him with McBob. He's a good player but that contract the is not a good look. No point in having TJ, Waiters and JRich when none of them are 1s. Plus the fact that there would be a lot of money tied up in just Waiters and TJ. TJ is better than JRich right now but JRich is a lot cheaper and would only be a RFA in 2018

Just extend J Rich now for the low before he gets 15+ mil from Philly next summer. If we're going to win within the next 2 years, our depth and defense is going to a big reason why. Sure we have no one on this roster who can lock up Bron(which no NBA player can), but we have several wings who can shoot and/or defend.

Btw Blake didn't make the All NBA team, that means we have a punchers chance at signing him since he can't get the super max this summer. Getting Blake likely means no JJ and Dion, but we can fukk around and win the East with him, especially if Blake continues to take and make 3's.
