He is trying to make it appear that his father wants him to stay at Barca
Yeah sure Neymar, your dad wants that loyalty bonus Russian

Neymar says he's "sad" that people think his move to PSG was motivated by money

When you Think about American football is the worst sport to be a pro in. NBA and soccer are eating very well.. Meanwhile NFL out here with unguaranteed contracts. Getting massive hits and injuries..possible brain injury and very short careers relatively.

MLB>>>>>>>>

When it comes to money. Baseball always dominates the highest paid athlete list, and it's been that way for damn near 30 years. Bryce Harper's next contract is going to make every other sport look like they're paying McDonald's money.

Am I the only one not too impressed by Neymar? As far as Im concerned, he'd make a great player for a midtable side like Spuds or Saints.
I dont think he's all that great to be honest. I dont think he'd outscore Lukaku if they partnered in Everton.

No salary cap, which is a good thing imo. Never understood why the league should be able to artificially control a players salary. And it would be impossible to do due to the huge amount of separate leagues and clubs.

And the big leagues in Europe get mental TV deals plus ticket sales and selling the football kits, plus a lot of teams have been bought by mega rich folk who don't care about turning a profit.
The #1 reason for salary caps is parity.

Neymar has a good chance at the Ballon D'Or outside of Barca. Sid Lowe wrote an article about how the Barcelona media put Messi front and center after the PSG comeback when Neymar was by far the best player on the pitch and the best Barca player over those 2 legs, how far that is true with regards to him leaving is questionable but it does reflect on the perception problem. The French league is not as prestigious but if you look at how far Barcelona, Real, Bayern have come since Chelsea won the CL in 2012 it makes no difference how you perform in a league campaign. 10 years back winning a league title might have given a player a boost but the way the talent has been hoarded by a few clubs it has made league games a formality. UEFA's best midfield category are all Real midfielders and before Neymar left you could argue that 4 of the top 5 players in the world played for 2 teams. Only Juve and Atletico have managed to break through and that is with organization and coaching.
