Everyone has always known that schools are the biggest reservoir for the flu and children spread that shyt like crazy. Schools have been closed down for a year. Don't you realize that's a major factor?

Not to mention masks, social distancing, better hand-washing, more sanitizing, working from home, people buying more shyt online rather than going into stores, all large-crowd events getting shut down, no indoor dining or other extended-time indoor events, etc.

It would be more shocking if influenza hadn't gone down dramatically. Y'all want this to be magic or some shyt when the explanations are obvious.
None of this applies to 2 of the top 5 biggest states in America, Texas and Florida. Try again. Literally millions of people who didnt do anything you described and also participated in large gatherings.

Or is this the part where you say Florida and Texas are also lying about flu numbers :skip:

You don't know that schools were closed in Texas and Florida?

You don't know that millions of workers were working from home in Texas and Florida?

You don't know that dozens (hundreds?) of large indoor events were closed down for much of the flu season in Texas and Florida?

You don't know that millions of people were wearing masks, social distancing, and not interacting with strangers indoors in Texas and Florida?

Yes, "some" people kept moving stupid. But if you don't realize that millions of people moving intelligently (along with universal closing of schools and many other large-crowd indoor events) is going to seriously reduce disease transmission, then you don't understand disease. Add in the fact that Florida's warm weather helps it have a less severe flu season even in normal years, plus the fact that the lack of flu in other states is also going to reduce how many sick people are there to transmit flu to Texans and Floridians, and it's not hard to see why they wouldn't have a normal flu year.

This isn't hard to understand. Just try to use your head instead of rushing to every right-wing narrative, it's tiring.

After you posted that, I assumed they'd respond with posts demonstrating their knowledge and prove you wrong.

:manny:I don’t know but the masks have helped for COVID. Maybe not many people were around each other during the season but we can’t say they haven’t helped. I guess people are finally practicing better hygiene too.

You're not touching your face, cause of the masks and with added hygiene protocols, the results are there for all to see

Science: A significant amount of the population staying home for more than a year, an increased focus on washing hands, and the use of masks, which limits the amount of droplets traveling from the mouth and nose and limits hand contact to these areas, reduced the number of flu cases.

No, I didn't "literally say that", you either can't read for shyt or don't know what "literally" means.

So were all four points I made news to you, or were you aware of those things already and just playing stupid?

Were you aware that Texas and Florida had closed their schools or no?

You're promoting Covid conspiracies, unable to deal with basic facts, and complain that anyone who doesn't buy your bs is "worse than a bytch", whatever that means. :mjlol:

Why did you put "most" in the quote when I never said "most" anywhere in that comment? :gucci:

I already told you I didn't say "most", you insist that I did, then you quote me NOT saying most. :mjlol:

MILLIONS of people in Texas and Florida were moving smart, in addition to all the schools being closed and big-crowd events being shut down for most of flu season. That doesn't mean that "all" or "most" people were doing the right thing, but the fact that literally MILLIONS were doing it right along with all the closed schools, working from home, shut-down events, no indoor dining, mask rules in most cities, etc. is going to seriously reduce disease transmission.

It should really embarrass you that not only do you not understand these basic facts, you're also hung up on an attempted "gotcha" that wasn't even right. :mjlol:
