Maidana is bigger than Pac and much stronger breh. Maidana also was a different fighter. Those right hooks were serious and that punch at the end of rd 4 would KO a lotta boxers cold. Not saying Pac don't stand a chance but if Maidana fights Pac, that would be a much closer fight than Floyd's

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (44-1-1, 31KOs) has issued a warning to Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26KOs) - that he plans to go forward with HBO fights on May 2nd and September 15th - and has no intention of stepping aside to allow Mayweather to put on shows.
Mayweather traditionally fights on the May and September dates. Canelo, tired of taking a backseat to Mayweather on the dates, left Showtime and jumped over to HBO to get first priority treatment. Mayweather has an exclusive contract with Showtime.
Canelo feels a Mexican fighter should occupy those dates, because of the deep significance that each date holds in Mexico (5/2 = Cinco De Mayo Weekend, 9/12 = Mexican Independence Day Weekend).
There are talks taking place for Canelo to face WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto on May 2, but Mayweather is also saying that he plans to fight on the date with Amir Khan being a frontrunner to face him.
"As I've said and I'll say it again - I am going to fight on May 2 and I'm not going to move [from the date]. Everything [being maneuvered] is to fight on May 2 and September 12, and I'm not going to back [away from those dates] for nothing," Canelo said during an interview with Mexico's RED FM 88.1 Radio.
