The ring turned into ice on Bradley, because of the constant pressure of avoiding Manny's angles/speed on his punches. Trying to avoid them fukked his ankles up:yeshrug:

Like you said, I dont think Floyd will be willing to exchange WITH Manny...too much risk involved with that, because if Manny catches him like Maidana did, it might be night-night for Floyd

Floyd doesn't exchange with anyone, he doesn't have to

Manny is smaller than FLoyd and Floyd has a huge reach advantage

What makes you think he has to absorb punishment to land a counter, do you even know what a counter is

the man just showed you on tape lol

:heh: Yeah, but he is not going to get off a clean counter 20 times per round. Everyone who has countered him has taken damage, and even though Floyd is a cut above the rest, he will take damage too. I think he will beat Manny but he will take hits. Did you see how panicky he was in the corner when his eye got cut v Maidana ":damn: I cant see" Thats a glimpse into his soul

He just showed you many examples of marquez and bradley landing clean shots without taking damage

marquez and bradley aren't half the fighter floyd is for one, let's make that clear

if bradley could punch he would've beating manny and possible KO's him in that second fight because he seemed a lot slower and less powerful which is why he exchanged with him

if Floyd lands that right lead on Manny he's going to sleep or with the check hook like did hatton

First, that Ricky Hatton gif don't count. He literally walked onto that left hook. I'm sure Floyd would take some shots from Manny, but can Manny win following Floyd around the ring?

I dont believe Manny will win period unless he KOs Floyd, so no. But Floyd is just gonna run around the ring from Manny all night?:scusthov:

It's one thing to hit Timothy Bradley and Chris Algeri with these punches, but the way Floyd controls distance. Manny IMO would be forced to be more wreckless than normal. And I haven't even mentioned the jab yet. If Floyd chooses to use it, that actually could be the most important punch in the fight. He could potentially keep Manny in a position where hes constantly resetting.

The Shoulder Roll defense has weaknesses against the jab and fast southpaws.....Manny just so happens to be a fast southpaw:manny:

I'm a Floyd fan, but the way I think this fight will turn out is more about the match up and what they both do in the ring than me being a fan. I just think Floyd is all wrong for Manny.

I think Floyd beats Manny, but I can see Manny giving him more trouble than Maidana did with his awkwardness + speed + power

Floyd has brittle hands. We dont respect his power at all.. One thing Pac will have to do is cut the ring off much better than he's done in the past because Floyd will run.. Pac is gonna try to walk through whatever Floydie dishes out. I doubt Floyd is gonna see every punch Pac throws at him.. If Floyd is ever brave enough to try and trade in exchange :banderas: Not even Xylocaine can save that boy.. This will be the toughest fight of both their careers

Pac wins by KO

I agree with most of this. The only part where we differ in opinion is those clips dont show where his speed and combinations landed while the counterpuncher assumed it was just a jab followed by a straight left. In order to land clean consistently, you will take tons of damage to the head throughout the fight because Manny rarely throws combinations to the body.
Again, Floyd is on another level of skill but there is still risk with Manny's speed and unpredictability.

For the record, I think Floyd will win via 12 round decision. However, one factor I'm curious to see is if this fight will be special for both fighters? Will Floyd be extra defensive because it's Manny or try to prove a point by being more offensive? Will Manny be at his most motivated to hurt Floyd?

Anyway, I see Manny struggling to land anything powerful and clean on Floyd at all. The Mayweather footwork and the defensive shell is a tall order. Besides, soon as Mayweather is in any real trouble, he's going to clinch. I'd be frustrated as fukk if all my hard work getting in results in Mayweather clinching every time. I hope the ref does very little breaking, let them fight it out.

Roach Told Pacquiao To Verbally Press Mayweather
Posted by: Edward Chaykovsky on 12/2/2014 .

By Edward Chaykovsky

Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach revealed that he advised WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao to verbally pursue Floyd Mayweather Jr., the WBC/WBA champion.

Pacquiao filmed a commercial for Foot Locker, where the boxer was overjoyed at the thought of Mayweather agreeing to fight him.

In past interviews, Pacquiao was quiet. But now the boxer and his team are pressing the issue in interviews, on social networks and plan to continue their verbal assault.

Pacquiao's promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank, is hoping to reach a deal for the fight with CBS CEO Les Moonves.

“We’ve gotta antagonize this guy to get him to come to the table, I think,” Roach told The Los Angeles Daily News. “So Manny’s talking and I told Manny, ‘Manny, you keep doing that commercial. Do that every time you talk to somebody from the press. Because then they can write something about how bad you want the fight. But if you don’t say nothing, they can’t write nothing. I said, ‘If the press gets behind it, and the boxing world is already behind it, I think it will make more noise for us and I think it’ll make the fight happen faster.’”
