takes a lot more than explosiveness to be a good WR
it was always a stupid pick. ALWAYS

that draft i was even clamoring for claypool in the second or third round. reagor was a nobody

I thought he had the potential to be a Steve Smith/Brandin Cooks type player

His drop off from soph yr to jr yr was attributed to bad QB play

All this could've been avoided if we traded back like how the FO used to do when a target (Lamb) is taken before he falls to us...we used to be the kings of trading back

Howie learned his lesson last season, knowing we weren't gonna get Chase at #6

Better to trade back in the first round than to reach

Or maybe pick the receiver who had like 1500 yards and 20 tds as a junior in college?

Jefferson didn't project as an elite outside receiver...he ate in the slot his last yr at LSU & Chase was the one eating on the outside

Jefferson was not dominant on the outside at LSU

In hindsight, we made a mistake

We should've traded back and took an Aiyuk or Higgins once Lamb was drafted

#byrdgang...Bleedin Green
Can't see them taking an interior OL that high when Stoutland constantly turns water into wine. Maybe if they trade back into the mid/late 20s and he's still there.

this and more importantly just bc he is undersized like Kelce doesnt mean he can do what Kelce does...Kelce is a unicorn
I saw a video where a guy was explaining Tyler is not a good fit for our system- we run alot of gap blocking and apparently Tyler is really bad at that style of blocking. he is better in a pure zone blocking system- plus how well does he anchor at 292?

sign Jameis :ehh:

No .

but ill orchestrate a sign and trade with jameis and Jalen:youngsabo:
I'm convinced that ankle was bothering him in the playoff game

Ever since that Broncos game I've been a Hurts believer. Let him run it back with a better offense

The potential is there. Consistency in his mechanics has always been his greatest issue.

Only way he'll thrive is with a stacked offense

I don't believe he can elevate an offense or win with his arm
I don't care about a stacked offense, that should be every teams goal no matter who is at QB. All four teams that played last weekend have stacked offenses whether through talent (Bengals) or a combination of that and coaching (Chiefs, Rams, 49ers). We're a reliable #2 WR away from having one ourselves between Smith & Goedert continuing to improve, Quez continuing to develop as a #3 who can fly and our great Stoutland lines.

If Wilson or Watson aren't acquired and Jalen's starting week 1 of 2022 he and the passing game have to take a big step forward. He's either gonna tap into a consistency and be the player he was vs Denver and WFT more often or the team is gonna be shopping for a new one in 2023.
