Man, that was one of the worst pushes I've ever seen in my life. shyt was cringeworthy. Timbaland was going way overboard, then when you think he calmed down he'd go more over the top. Even if what he was sharing were true, his timing was horrible. Then getting The Breakfast Club to all of a sudden drop bars in the studio, just made it look way too obvious.

It's a shame because she's not so bad as an artist.

these I wouldn't categorize as plants but had major cosigns and didn't get a release date

^ was cosigned by Jermaine Dupri & Nitti Beatz

^ signed to Dre & Timbaland

^ signed to Akon, Timbaland & Poe Boy

^ singed to Poe Money & Lil Wayne at the height of YMCMB

Didnt like a single beat

what about french montana? dude has every co-sign in the industry, and is backed by :takedat: and he still hasn't done anything noteable.

definitely not a plant. possibly the most opposite of a plant mentioned in this thread. almost 10 years ago he was grinding hard locally with DVDs and then mixtapes. mixtapes hosted by DJs no one outside of here has even heard of probably, over beats with local producers, etc.. , doing small shows all over the tri-state. he's the very definition of someone "getting it out the mud". starting from nothing and leveling up every year or two.
maybe bad boy's big time mainstream plans for him haven't been on schedule but french has been around a long time and his mixtapes always do numbers especially in new york. Wave Gods and Coke Zoo most recently were both solid from start to finish. im not even a stan of French like that but those two tapes were better than a LOT of rappers albums recently... if French's ALBUMS don't do numbers its because 99% of real albums these days are formulaic, over-hyped, over-delayed garbage with nonsense features on most of the songs. not his fault that labels are still sticking to that formula. french got it out the mud man theres no way you can throw any sort of hate towards him

it costs record labels roughly 500K to market, promote, record, and basically do everything for a major label artist.

I can't see myself throwing 100k into a "billy blue" let alone 500K :comeon:

I bet these labels look at these artists that co-sign some of these cats like :dahell:

but if artists that bring major $$$$ into your label (eminem, dre, timbaland) want to sign some people, you gotta let em:manny:

hold on. There's actually people out here who think chance's tv spots and magazine covers with no label nor album is cause he's just a great artist.. Not cause of his pops political ties and him being friends with the owner of CAA :comeon:
