She really is one of the more talented artists in the game male or female. It's just unfortunate that the black female music industry right now seems to be in a slump. Unless you're Beyonce or Rihanna who were established over a decade ago.
I thought some of her songs were ok. Hated the "Thot Commandments". Then timberland trying to associate her with Aaliyah especially after he got all sanctimonious on Drake for using her image for personal gain was some bullshyt. She's cool but she should be herself and not copy other people.

how are people calling french montana and big KRIT industry plants. :why:

do we need an established standard definition of what that term means?

when someone grinds regionally for years until they get major label backing or support, then happen to fizzle out (mostly because of said major label backing) that doesnt mean they are a plant:what:

when someone shows up out of nowhere with an infectious banger with no history of anything released before it, and when asked in an interview how the song came about and they were like "yeah, i was in LA chilling with (insert famous producer) and the song kind of came together..." thats a little suspect

when someone has half a decade or more of grinding on the local mixtape/show circuit and you dont hear of them UNTIL they get on... whos fault is that? :dame:

watch in 6-9 months when we see Kodak Black level up people on here are gonna throw the "plant" label on him

I've never heard of BIG KRIT being talked about outside this forum. I think he's dope, but I would have been shocked if he found mainstream success.

KRIT has been putting out fire since like 2009-2010 and was "big" on a lot of those blogs that covered weird southern underground shyt back then (like traps n trunks, sites like that) . dude is a true artist and has been grinding for mad long. he's definitely underrated. i think hes "too southern" for the mainstream if that makes sense. too country. hes dope though. hes done nothing to deserve any slander at the very least

by here, I mean between here and :hamster:

he's a very competant producer tho. I like his beats. and he can rap for a southern artist.

a lot of nikkas are really not understanding what an industry PLANT is.... it simply means, you are out in the world TELLING people you are independent.. acting like you have no deals signed.. giving off the appearance that you are where you are, simply because of great music and hard work and loving fans

BUT in reality, you have multimillionaires behind you, calling in favors and pushing your product. you are out here lying about your grind, so you can seem grassroots, when in reality, you are no different than any other major label star

see macklemore.. "oh he's independent" then come to find out, his "indy" label is being pushed by a major label the entire time

see kendrick.. "oh section 80 was hot then interscope grabbed him up" then come to find out, he was already signed before section 80

see chance.. "oh he had a hot mixtape and he doesn't even have a deal" then come to find out, he's under CAA

see drake and nicki... "oh they on multiplat singles with no deal" then come to find out they was signed to wayne and cash money the entire time

game being signed to interscope and dre and openly going to gunit isn't a plant... french montana grinding on the mixtape circuit and openly signing to puff isn't a plant

like Bill said.. if it was a real plant.. you wouldn't even know it unless you really went digging for the info and started seeing who was signed to who and when

This needs to be stickied somewhere. It's the most accurate and important definition of a plant. But you'll find The Coli likes to play dumb/deflect from it because it exposes the frauds they like, namely Kendrick.

??? No matter how much you like Game, he kinda was a plant. From what I remember, Interscope had signed him and was trying to figure out a way to market him, so they pushed him on 50 Cent & G-Unit. Doesn't mean he's wack, but he didn't come with the G-Unit crew and get a deal because he was the next to blow out of the clique. He was PLANTED there.

they didn't hide that tho.

game was moreso just lucky, rather than being a plant.

KRIT is J Cole without the Jay-Z cosign

and without the initial college gimmick.

they were tryna force him in there at one point.

@MF budz , you mad. :umad:

If you were secure in the "fact" that Chance wasn't a failed industry plant, you wouldn't be all up in your feelings in my reps. :shaq2:
nope just had to give that rep some love. :smugfavre:. Act like chance sing been doing it for 3 years now. If he was a real plant then he wouldn't be puttin out free projects. He'd be trying to make money for his "label":comeon:
