Somebody just pointed this out on another board, but now that I think of it it's lowkey brilliant. 
Remember how when they went back in time, Thawne called her "Dawn" instead of "Nora"? It wasn't just a reference to the comics, nor was Thawne misremembering.
In the original timeline Thawne remembers (where he never killed Barry's mom, and Barry didn't become the Flash until 2020), her name actually was Dawn. Thawne changing the timeline by murdering Nora Allen is actually what caused Barry to name his daughter after her. In a very fukked up way, Nora got her name from Thawne.

Put the old seasons on this evening on Netflix. Watching the one with Zoom. The first time he comes face to face with Barry is genuinely one of the funniest moments of the whole series.

That’s a good theory. At first I just thought Wells saying “Dawn” was a name drop to the Tornado Twins. In the comics Barry and Iris have kids Dawn and Don that are raised in the 30th century and XS is actually their grandchild along with Impulse. I don’t know now though. If XS somehow went back in time to change the timeline enough to cause her own creation that’d be wild but a little too Savitar-ish. Also you don’t just include reverse Flash in a random episode. Now he knows that Nora exists what’s to stop him from making a time remnant and sending it to the Future to try and corrupt Nora.
Flash disappeared in the Crisis so RF wasn’t able to get revenge on him in the future and probably didn’t give a damn about his daughter because he didn’t know she would be a speedster due to the power dampener. Now he knows and what better revenge can he take on a dead/disappeared Flash then make his daughter his mentor?
Someone has been teaching Nora how to use her speed. I think that she said in an earlier Ep that she’s had her powers for like 6 months. Hard to believe she can do what she does without speedster training. Also it looked like her first time traveling through time last Ep but she already did it to be in the present. Things aren’t adding up.
I’m high as 3 fukks off some edibles and I’m about to wrap this shyt up.
It wasn't that Nora caused her own creation or anything like that, she was going to be born regardless. It's just that Thawne's actions caused her to be named "Nora" (after Barry's mom) instead of Dawn.
But yeah, it's getting kind of obvious what happened. Nora didn't know she had powers until six months ago (from her POV) when she somehow ended up visiting Thawne in prison. He told her about her powers, somehow disabled whatever Iris had used to suppress them, and gave her the idea to travel back in time to stop Barry from disappearing. And she's probably sending him info so he can tell her what to change to save Barry.

I saw it coming, but still. Next episode looks good. I'm assuming that Barry travels to the future to see young Nora. Season 5 is shaping up nicely.
