Have you had any calls for a cat stuck in a tree? :jbhmm:
two questions for you, and you’ll get your answer

1. Have you ever seen a cat skeleton in a tree?

2. You think the city would dispatch a fire truck for this when it could be someone having a heart attack, shooting, kid trapped in a fire etc ?

The Truth
Firefighters have a 67% divorce rate. Not saying all of this is from infidelity but I know many guys who are on their 2nd or 3rd marriage
I don’t understand your question
I meant like physical waivers…

Maybe even age

I’m still in above average shape and got some firefighting training while in the Navy (one reason I joined the Navy too) so was just wondering if they provided physical waivers. Broke my legs in the military and still have pain where they did the surgeries.

Yeah certain fire departments have an age cut off. Mine does not, we had a guy who was 52 in our academy class but he didn’t make it through

Did 911 increase pay for FF's?
No, but it did lead to a decade long surge in applicants. Back in the 2000s we were getting 10,000+ applicants when we held an exam. Many departments are struggling now to get a couple hundred :snoop:

I don’t understand why. Schedule is amazing, salary is decent, gov. Benefits

shyt i might try to get on

Always kinda wanted to do it as a backup plan. Schedule was cool, pay was great, and on base, the firefighters literally just stayed in the gym all day…

Plus, you know, doing things that actually matter and helping people

I kinda don’t understand why people with low skills but are young/strong enough dont try it

Please yall be careful with these space heaters

Been to several fires in this cold snap due to improper heating techniques, one was fatal :snoop:

Thankfully I got central heating and don't have to worry about that anymore. But back in the day that was my worst fear. Going to sleep with the space heater on and it catching something on fire and I never wake up.
