If you're re-signing Lowry you won't have room for much else, he's the best PF on the market that you realistically could get and would provide scoring and a veteran presence. He could be to your roster what David West is to the Pacers.

You want Amir gone, you plan on starting Patrick Patterson all year, getting one with a late first rounder or luring away a young star, which is something you've never been able to do? Gasol makes sense, and since you have the Knicks pick who will undoubtedly be awful in 2016 it isn't that big of a risk.

I wouldnt start Patterson,i would deal Amir if i could,i would sign and trade Lowry as an option, theres alot id like to do...i wouldnt consider Gasol as an option. We need size in the front court,we need a legit back up 5
and we need a 2-3 who can defend....Worst thing we can do is re sign everyone from this team and just go into next year thinking were building on THIS...

PG has a lot of depth, the teams that need a PG don't even have the assets to trade for one right now. The best chance to move him was prior to the deadline :yeshrug:

It's too late to go with the scorched earth policy, the majority of fans will not be happy with moving Lowry after how he played in the playoffs, there won't be a huge market for Amir because he's realistically a number 1 big off the bench. The things you want are the things we were all saying your squad should have been doing from the start of the season, and once they started peeling off W's they should have traded Lowry.

They are more than likely going to make small moves to bolster this roster rather than a complete makeover, that is why I say Pau Gasol would be a good option. You have moves, but WHO could you get that is better than Pau, realistically.

The D was alot worse than just ISO Joe,they stunk in every facet of defending this series. They didnt help, they didnt rotate...even today first half how many wide open uncontested jump shots you see the nets take ? The D issue is way more complex than just what we didnt do on Joe...

My point is look at the Knicks situation, its not crazy to think that could be us next year with other teams in the east getting better or healthy...
Val can get much better on both ends im not sure about Ross, very bad series...still need to see so much more before you can say hes a good young core piece,he might wind up being a 6th man in few years if he doesnt start growing a pair instead of hiding on the perimeter...

I find it hard to optimistic with this score losing the way they just did...You can grow but you can lose continually this same way if you dont have winners...

This core has glaring holes that you need to fix before im optimistic about this team going forward...

East will get better. I'm more focused on the Raptors team. Depending on how things play out with Lowry, I see this team making the playoffs again next year. The year after is the big year, if you keep this core. Got enough money for a legit star PF, and multiple first round picks. It will be a lot easier to sell this team to a player (Bosh? Horford? trade for someone) if you got Lowry, Demar, Val, Ross all playing at a good level. They can envision themselves being the final piece. If they lose Lowry or flop next year, this all changes.

Building a legit title contender won't happen over night, unless you have a Miami Heat type miracle.

Too late im dealing with now not December,i also thought this team was going to beat the nets which might have convinced me we need to keep Lowry...Thats why im saying IMO nobody should be off limits except Jonas...I got a bad feeling this team could take a step back next couple seasons and all this bullshyt experience talk will be code for we blew it...

IM saying you dont know this experience means anything,i hate that shyt...just cuz you went 7 games and choked dont mean it helps you at all in the future....T Ross is not going to be a star in 2 yrs because hes afraid in this series to get hit....The optimisim in the aftermath of today alludes me...

This same exact team could miss the 'offs or lose in a game 7 again next year because there just not good enough...

"good experience for them" :russ:

code word : we sucked

What do you want the team to do? Or what is your plan? Amir has $5 mill guarenteed next year from what I saw by the way. Unless that is a mistake, he's coming back.

Not giving names,i want a back up 5,i want a starting PF
I want Casey gone,i want a 2-3 who defends...

I realize Amir and Casey will both be back...but both are apart of the problem with getting this team to another level...

@CantStop and I been saying he's nothing special, there is no bradley beal type leap from ross

even derozan went from 8 a game to 17 his second year

look at the guys from the 2012 draft, you can already tell which guys have it, davis, beal, lillard who will and are already stars, and guys who will be ok role players but nothing more, kidd-gilchrist, waiters, barnes, ross, lamb, henson etc.

Turned off by his lack of agression in this series, ever since Game 1 where he passed the ball out of a drive being afraid to get hit was the beginning of his self ether in this series...a ton of athleticism and a coward at heart...
