Appreciate it y’all.

Without any spoilers, are there any missable side quests?

Well it took me that long you rude ass nikka! :pacspit:

For real though it definitely did take that long for me so I dunno what to tell ya. Played on normal mode without the cheat accessories. I’m experienced in JRPGs and action games and I literally died twice while playing. No idea how you did all the side quests and only hit 40 hours. That doesn’t sound right
Breh, I’m like 86% done with the game and been playing for 90 something hours.

I do everything except trophy collect. I did want the It’s over 50,000!! one though.

The game is ridiculously easy

What makes matters worse is there's only two different types of enemies - small ones you can juggle, and big ones that you cant. Otherwise, everything uses almost the same strategy to beat - stagger > DPS > stagger > DPS > rinse & repeat, and the AI is terrible (they just follow you and give obvious indicators when theyre about to attack). You dont need to worry about elemental damage, status ailments, or anything

(and its always just a reskin of like 5-6 different enemy types).

I don’t know how people are playing this game. I really don’t.

I don’t know how people are playing this game. I really don’t.

It's still a good game. Definitely a little overrated and misrepresented. The quality of the story really makes people forget about the mid gameplay and terrible performance. I'm sure the game being too easy gives people that power fantasy too with all the crazy anime Eikon attacks.

There's FF stans on YouTube like Mr Happy who was very high on this game in his review cause of the story, but had the same gripes and criticisms where he said the combat is just too shallow and easy, and the side quests felt like MMO fetch quests.

Not going to lie, I enjoy the story but I miss the gameplay of FFXV and might place it higher in my rankings. In some ways, this one feels like a step back.

I didn’t really realize it until I was fighting the Marlboro and didn’t realize the game didn’t have status effects.

I’m on to the last part of the game o think and I gotta disagree with a lot of the things people say just around the net, this game is beyond mid imo I got it at a 8.5 possibly a 9 when I’m done. It may not be turn based but i found some good depth in the combat when you mix up your Eikons and I love it.

And by far this game has the best side missions in the series they start off rather mundane but they pick up shortly after that especially where I’m at in the game fukkin chefs kiss lol

Just finished final fantasy mode, Ultima was much easier here than my previous play. Maybe it was the Ultima weapon:jbhmm:. Odin was the hardest one I fought again. His fight in FF mode took me damn near an hour :picard:. Really enjoyed the game, hopefully we can get a DLC explaining the end events.
