I had a feeling Shiva’s move-set was gonna be type weak.

I’ll try her moves out to see if I like anything.

Diamond Dust is the best for getting rid of the yellow bar, it’s needed!
Nah, not even that. Shiva has an OP ability…
to basically stop time for a few seconds, I think. To land the timing is a bit difficult, but you can freeze not only small and large enemies, but bosses as well.

Well thanks for letting me know, time to put in work.

What’s the name of the OP ability?

Yup. I didn't realize until later how good that Eikon was. It's practically in the 1a 1b category as the best overall.

Outside of generating a ton of stagger you can hit Diamond Dust right at the start when they're staggered and your damage is instantaneously 1.5x the whole time. So hit that Diamond Dust > Lightning Bolt > Gigaflare combo when they're staggered :wow:

Plus Cold Snap hitting Permafrost.

Just got this game. Probably put 5 hours in.

Please. Someone tell me the combat gets a little tougher at some point.

I’m just spamming square. I could win all these fights with my eyes closed.

I don’t need Elden Ring but this is way too boring.

(Sorry and dialogue both incredible though.)

The game is ridiculously easy if you've played any action game on a higher than average difficulty in the past. There's really only a couple times where you'll struggle with a boss, but that'll mainly be because the game makes you lazy from how easy the combat is (you probably wont go through more than a 3-6 deaths the entire game).

What makes matters worse is there's only two different types of enemies - small ones you can juggle, and big ones that you cant. Otherwise, everything uses almost the same strategy to beat - stagger > DPS > stagger > DPS > rinse & repeat, and the AI is terrible (they just follow you and give obvious indicators when theyre about to attack). You dont need to worry about elemental damage, status ailments, or anything - even dodging comes with a ridiculously large window. People wont admit it but a big reason why people are big on the combat is all of the anime fan service - and if you dont gaf about anime, then it wont matter to you lol.

I gave the game a 8/10 cause of its production values and comprehensive story, but otherwise, it really wasnt a memorable experience at all and I wouldve been fine if I never played it. Even people saying the side quests are good are full of shyt lol - just because theres an emotional pay off, doesnt mean the actual gameplay was good, every side quest is just go here and fight this enemy / waves of enemies (and its always just a reskin of like 5-6 different enemy types).

You think diamond dust is better than the OP phoenix move?

I'd say yes. Only thing that sucks is if you've been using the Phoenix ability to regain health.

However, especially when you upgrade the Shiva ability it isn't even a question which one is better.

That said, you can equip Shiva, upgrade Will-o'-the-Wykes and use that with Cold Snap and Diamond Dust, health will not be a problem at that point.

The game isn't 70 hours long. I did it in 40 hours but I didn't do the hunts. Did all side quests.

Also you can't just hold square to win. Dude has the noob rings on.
Well it took me that long you rude ass nikka! :pacspit:

For real though it definitely did take that long for me so I dunno what to tell ya. Played on normal mode without the cheat accessories. I’m experienced in JRPGs and action games and I literally died twice while playing. No idea how you did all the side quests and only hit 40 hours. That doesn’t sound right
