You don't level a quarter of the MAX level in the FIRST chapter of the game.
Cactuar isn't even level grinding. It's killing like 5-8 of them then cashing in your exp.

Square needed to come harder with this game period. Now we aren't getting that AAA jrpg classic anytime soon. Ff7 is going to be episodic so I wouldn't bet on that and I have a feeling ff16 will be another MMO with a 2020 release date 
P5 and nier will probably be dope but not that AAA experience I've wanted since we first saw the ff7 tech demo in 2005.

They've been less than stellar since FFX
Man square used to drop classics yearly. As a hardcore ff fan I have expectations. I think this game is good but when you go from making classics to just good games that shyt sucks.
I accepted it too after the 13 trilogy and another fuken MMO but then they announced 7 remake and XV looked really good and I hopped back on the bandwagon
I feel you breh, FFX Is the last one I really loved and that was back when I was in school...I'm 25 now lol, I'm not one for MMO's really but Realm Reborn wasn't bad either, just nothing amazing like this one.They've been less than stellar since FFX

never played 13 or it's sequels but iv always been told they were boring as fukk. I'm sure they know what they're doing with 7, it's just hard to imagine how a game of that level World/Story wise would look today on a PS4, sounds kinda too good too live up to but we'll see.

Breh you realize in 8 the enemies leveled with you, so getting to a higher level just made the game harder Real FF8 players finish the game at under level 15 while abusing the junction system
Anyway, I finished the game last night. To me it was worth my 40 hours. Game felt like a Final Fantasy, all the homages to previous games gave me that nostalgia.
Am I interested in post game content? Honestly not really.
Not unless theres sidequests with actual story shyt happening rather than just beating super bosses. Dont care. And finally even though I like this game I want a more basic classic overworld for 16, turn base, and more towns/dungeons.
