Ok so iv had this game a week, Iv put around 25 hours into it, iv just started chapter 5 after the titan fight, and my party is Level 40, here goes my thoughts on it so far.
The Good
The World looks great, I like exploring, a couple times iv ran somewhere random to come across a secret dungeon or high level enemy. The Combat is really cool and fighting some of the bigger harder enemies is pretty fun, especially when you start unlocking more abilities etc on the grid. I'm looking forward to trying some of the optional dungeons at the end with the high level enemies.
Prompto can be kinda annoying sometimes, but they pulled of the whole Group dynamic with how they fight together pretty well...a lot of interaction between them. It's also really cool to see a lot of these classic iconic FF enemies actually up to size scale just roaming around in the world.
The Bad
Nothing about this story so far has been that interesting to me (iv seen kingsglaive too) and the main quests so far have seemed kinda hollow, iv been hoping with it being FF that it will pick up and get more interesting with some depth, and even tho iv heard it does pick up from where I'm at for a while iv heard this falls the fukk off around Chapter 10 (imma judge for myself tho)
The leveling system is broken lol which is why people are like lvl 50 before chapter 4, and it isn't hard either, just do what I did and explore, monster hunt and quest then pay 10,000 to double it, which at that point really isn't a massive amount. This Game is easy as it is, now my main quest missions are a joke lol (my own fault tho obviously, but it shouldn't be that easy to boost up)
Most of the side quests are really boring, most of them are basically any kind of generic quest you can find in any MMO, "go here and talk to/kill/find Random person/monster/item then come back and talk to me" I hear some of them lead to bigger things tho so we'll see.
It's definitley not a bad game, I agree with most of the reviews iv seen, overall pretty good, but definitely Not mind blowing and not worth the wait. So far I'd give it 7.5..maybe an 8 depending on how I find the rest of the story, but I definitley don't see it being any higher then that.
only reason this game got hours and hours of content is because of those fetch quest 
there so many of them and it gets kinda boring, but the combat is still 
i say this now but FF16 about to be the best FF once square is finish with Kh3 the remake of FF7 and catch up on everything that is left.
