I always assumed FFX and FFX-2 were prequels to FF7. Especially the Shinra character in FFX-2.

It may be an Easter Egg but I wouldn't be surprised if it was true.

Ya, theres a fan theory that Spira is ancient Gaia. Shinra in 10-2 even mentions usin the far plane as an energy source. Yuna tells em he could make a city with the energy that never sleeps.

the writer for ff10 n 7 said its possible Shinra from 10-2 had descendants travel to another planet(Gaia) n set up the company we see in 7.

then theres this pic in the ff7 remake

Not with how long ff7 is taking. Thats gonna be a whole series wtihin itself. If they managed to put out ff7remake in one go we would have had a chance at more remakes but thats not very likely at this point anymore. I don’t think ffx would be next in line either

I got my mom to get this game just off that cover alone, my first entry in to final fantasy, but I didn't know it was turn based, didn't have much experience with that genre but everything about the game made me wanna play, until It just got too complicated or hard for me.
