It's part of the overall story. In the "On the Way to a Smile" book, after her death Aerith is aware while in the lifestream. She's also aware of Sephiroth's presence in the lifestream and can feel his anger, hate and rage, and his intent to change things.
This really doesn't mean anything. After the death of those shadow things, can't remember the name, it's obvious square is planning to deviate from the plot of the original game.

The main take away from the ending of part 1 was that the rest of the story won't follow the original. They're going in a completely different direction.

It means a lot. It means that Remake is a continuation of the Final Fantasy 7 story. It is a different direction, but OG Final Fantasy 7, Advent Children, Crisis Core still happened.

This is your interpretation but you don’t actually know.

In the OG game there was some shadowy figures that we never really got sufficient answers for and lots of dialog from aerith, cloud and seprtoth that left questions and lose ends.

@Dorian Breh called me “old” you nikkas really teenagers right now and ain’t play the old shyt????:dahell:

No

There were things that happened in the game that directly implied that anything could happen going forward after the death of those shadows.

Barrett died in the game, and those shadows came in a brought him back to life. It was clear that the purpose of those things was to make sure everything happened as they did in the original. After they died, that was a CLEAR signal that everything going forward will be different.

There was nothing like that in the plot of the original game.

If you played the game, the ending implies that anything can happen going forward. The plot was basically about breaking away from the original.

I have a feeling they’re going to pull a fast one and have Aerith not die in Rebirth only to ultimately have her die in the last part on some this has to be done to restore order to the universes shyt.
Cloud will die instead.

Zack will take his place.

You heard it here first.

aren’t waiting, we are playing a completely new trilogy of games as they release. :mjlol:

This was the comment that started meach’ s tangent.

The point was that we aren’t waiting to get one full 1:1 remake of the original broken up into little chunks. the new trilogy we are playing is its own game and its own universe directly impacted by the ending of the original FF7.

We are playing 3 completely new games, not a retread of the original. Remake has a dual meaning, this universe is being influenced by the sephiorth from the original trilogy after he loses, those events directly impact this one.

Thats why the next in the series isn’t called remake 2, its called rebirth because its continuing on the new plot line

This was the same in the OG game. By the end nothing was really as it seemed and people had extra theories about what actually happened for years.

What theories did people have? :dahell:

The plot line along midgar was completely straight forward in the original game. There was no room for interpreting what happened up until that point
