the events of FF7 already happened. Sephiroth knows this, and Aerith knows this. by defeating the whispers, u end up altering this timeline to go in a different direction. Biggs and Wedge is alive, jessie unknown. instead of Zack dying pre ff7(shown in Crisis Core) hes alive too.
Sephiroth is trying to pull the strings in a different direction to prevent his eventual downfall. timelines all fukked up now thanks to the party so it's a toss up from here. the game 100 percent relies on ff7 as a starting branch. not a 1 for 1 remake, MeachTheMoron didnt play the game and is full of shyt, we'll just have to see where this shytshow takes us.
