When all else fails just talk about console sales.

This is @winb83 next move too.

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck……:wow:

Console sales are a reflection of how people feel about the product. Xbox right now is a 3rd tier product, people aren’t drawn to it, the software isn’t compelling, those are the facts.

Look at the numbers, they are terrible. Thats not really something you can argue away. Microsoft needs to get its console business in order starting with its studio management and getting new compelling content for gamepass.

What's your argument? People should get Game Pass stop buying games and hope they come to it? What good does it do people to have some game they already bought cone to Game Pass months later? Please enlighten me.

They have almost no output of prestige titles on that service coming from their first parties at any reasonable clip. Most of the ones they have are Halo, Forza, and Gears.

It's just not that attractive of a service right now in comparison to the promise of what it was supposed to be with day one first party releases. They literally just went like a whole year without any major new first party releases.

The only reason I even have the service is because they practically give it away for almost nothing. I sure as hell wouldn't be paying $10-$15 a month for their current output. That's why they've missed their goals for the last 2 years and that's why they go several quarters not updating the public on what the current sub count is. Have you even seen any other streaming service go 2-3 quarters without putting that info in their earnings?

That's the problem with Xbox in general. They mostly obfuscate all their numbers and when they do well they come out and thump their chest and when they don't they hide the figures. That's why you can no longer get how many consoles they've sold or how many copies games they've sold on their earnings reports when everybody in the industry other than them releases that info. You can't even get a up to date sub count for Game Pass.

As a person that is adverse to buying games day one for full price it seems you would appreciate a discount program.

But considering it’s not on the console you are “fan” of somehow you pretend to not understand the value in a discount program.

Do ya thang sony stan’s do your thang:heh:

@winb83 went from.

Gamepass doesn’t have any AAA games.(only to be proven wrong)

To all those games are “very old”(only to be proven wrong again)

To “if it ain’t day one it don’t count(While he waits for discounted games cause $70 is just too much)

Sony stans wild as fukk :mjlol:
Now we’ve moved on to a new term.

It's all good man, "output of prestige" tell me all I need to know about what you actually value when it comes to your gaming now.

Console sales from a market share leader that has a choke hold on a certain sector doesn't say much. It would be like me praising wal mart for sales when walmart dominated and dominates that market and has for decades, it took target almost a century to even be mentioned as a competitor to walmart. The console game that playstation and nintendo dominate isn't something that is going to be quick for MS to get into and shake up. Especially not in 22 years time.

It doesn’t matter, they need games. Theres absolutely no point in arguing that fact, and they need better studio management to get those games out.

There’s no talking around it at this point. The more you cape for them the further they fall behind

I mean you tell me. When was the last time Microsoft gave an update to Game Pass numbers? Last I knew in January of 2022 like a year ago they updated them here.

A subscription service went like a whole year with out giving a subscriber update? So yeah I'm talking about prestige titles that attract meaningful subscriber growth. You're on here arguing the technicalities of unannounced AAA games that came out months ago suddenly hitting the service when that's part of the climate that has Microsoft going over a full year without giving their investors a sub count update and missing their target growth rate 2 years in a row.

When a company can't hit their own internal goals for sub growth that says something about the quality of their product.

It all circles back to games, you can’t grow the platform, whether its hardwares or subs without compelling content

Thats why you see microsoft doing all these goofy marketing schemes like selling hoodies for controllers, and nail polish, etc. they need to find a way to get people talking about their console because they dont actually have big games to market with it.

When sony is marketing their system they are marketing prestige titles with it..

Right now, xbox is just not associated with big quality games, its associated with “deals” and “value”, things most people just dont give a shyt about. It’s like how many people go out and talk about the clothes they bought at Burlington coat factory?

Its no mystery why the 3rd year into the console generation Microsoft is now starting to bundle Forza Horizon 5 with it. It’s literally the only big hit game they’ve put out that still has value enough to bundle
