Philly
The Godfather
Goodfellas
Psycho
The Princess Bride
T2
Alien
12 Angry Men
The Wizard of Oz
Star Wars
To Kill a Mockingbird

I think these maybe the cream of the crop. Not all of them are my favorites, but still great movies.

Children of Men is a post-apocalyptic film where the world hasn't had a new child born in decades. It's set in England...very good film

La Haine is a french indie film about an arab youth killed by police and how his friends react to it.

The Thing is a horror flick where researches go to possible find alien life in the artic...John Carpenter's (director of the og Halloween) best work.

oh alright, thanks for the feedback!

Thanks, Harakiri is a violent deep dive into samurai culture it is excellent and the sword fight is long and brutal. Rashomon is all about perception and how only seeing one part of something can mislead you basically it is a detective story in feudal Japan and new tale zatoichi is great really solidifies who zatoichi is and how his blindness impacts his relationship with Japan and his peers. I love samurai assassin too it just missed the cut

The H
that's fair

believe it or not, i just saw Shawshank for the first time a year or so ago

very well written movie

never saw Gattica, interesting

alright, thanks for the feedback!
There's the "important" ones that the purist always mention; Citizen Kane, Chinatown, Touch of Evil, Rebel without a Cause, Clockwork Orange, og Planet of the Apes, 2001 Space Odyssey. Hard to pin down a top 10, when each era is so different. Then you got the next generation. I think Gattaca and Children of Men are two of the most underrated films in the past 25 years.

its impossible to narrow to only 10 films. I'll try to do 10 but it's subject to change frequently. here's prolly my favorites that I rewatched the most

Do the Right Thing
Casino
Training Day
Goodfellas
2001: A Space Odyssey
Life

fukk it, looks like you only get 6 movies.:birdman:

lol, it's all good

i get it, when you love something like films or music, it's always challenging to narrow it down to a certain number of films that are "goat"

i understand

great list

2001 seems to be very popular on here. i know it's one of those "must see" films universally

6 films is good enough, i appreciate you taking the time and responding back

thanks again, bruh!
