Too many to list and I won't repeat what others have placed. I'll just ask. How the hell is TWBB in anyone's top 10? It’s not even Daniel Day Lewis best role. Nothing about that movie had any redeeming quality other than the protagonist acting like a narcissistic socio path and at no time during that era did anyone check his nuts. Ranting the whole time. The flick reminded me of Babel.....which was just that. The character is greedy and babbled the entire film.
I thought the acting and dialogue was great. I watched it way after it came out too. I’ve never seen the Boxer but I could swap TWBB with Gangs of New York easily. Personal preference tho I guess. Same way some people rant and rave about Memento. I hate that movie

The crime/drama/gangster flicks are all there. Just off top I'd add Gattica, Shawshank, We Are The Titans. Like Tarantino said, there's few perfect films, the kind that'll always have replay value.

that's fair

believe it or not, i just saw Shawshank for the first time a year or so ago

very well written movie

never saw Gattica, interesting

alright, thanks for the feedback!

haven't seen children of men or la haine or the thing

saw no country for old men once but i'd have to go back and watch it again

thanks!

oh yeah, apocalypse now is probably my all time favorite movie! nice to see it on your list!

Children of Men is a post-apocalyptic film where the world hasn't had a new child born in decades. It's set in England...very good film

La Haine is a french indie film about an arab youth killed by police and how his friends react to it.

The Thing is a horror flick where researches go to possible find alien life in the artic...John Carpenter's (director of the og Halloween) best work.
