I don't know why, but I think Kevin Hart is a far superior drama actor than comedy actor.
Low key i always thought that after seeing him in soul plane for the first time. I initially thought he was a serious actor trying to play a comedic role. That’s why I never thought he was funny. His comedy seems forced imo.

Even the Ali character grew on me by the end of his run. At 1st I was like who is this goofy David Alan Grier looking mofo?? But he wasn't bad. Turns out dude also starred in a sequel to Half Baked. I'm scared to watch that shyt, the original is a classic.

Kevin Hart is doing his thing. Anybody saying he's wack or the worst part of the movie is dap fishing and/or the conditioning to hate Kevin Hart is so ingrained it's on autopilot.
