i watched it this morning. It doesn't premier on Peacock at midnight like the Power episodes. I think the show is fantastic. Great acting and decent writing.

Yeah, that part is goofy. But I think his pride and attachment fuccin' wit him with the prospect of knowing she was ready to leave him and he might not ever see her again if he was to send her away.
