This is what I said 3 years ago.

Looking how this gen has ended, I pretty much doubt that most games will hit 4k120. Heck, I doubt that games will hit 4K60 next gen without some sort of checkerboard or 1440p upscaled in the early part of the gen.

If you already have a 4k 60hz TV, you shouldn't have to buy a new TV anytime soon.

Games will determine how nextgen will pan out.

a demo should be representative of the retail product. that's why it's a "demo" and not a "beta". day one patch might help, but I doubt it

should've let the resolution drop to 720p to hit 60, like Forspoken

If it can't hold that will be very disappointing

Some dips at 1440/60 as long as they aren't ridiculous (which this apparently isn't) is more than fine to me.
