Hate that fake shyt, but it has such a dominant presence in our culture that you're kinda forced to accept it at times. There are plenty of beautiful sistas with weave, but I much prefer them without.

One thing is certain - if God ever blesses me with daughters they will NEVER get their hair permed. They will love who they are and never buy into the bullshyt idea of European beauty being the standard.

Other women wear weaves that match the texture of their natural hair. When you see a white woman wearing African textured hair hats (outside of a Halloween costume) let me know. Other women also don't believe their hair is inferior since they are 2 years old. In addition other women aren't COMPLETELY covering their natural hair with their weaves. They are ADDING to their natural hair.

In general I notice the men who have all these bad things to say about Black women with weaves don't have anything nice to say about Black women as a whole period. If it wasn't weave, it'd be something else. Weave is just the scapegoat because they can more easily spin it as solely a Black female problem.
