Hate that fake shyt, but it has such a dominant presence in our culture that you're kinda forced to accept it at times. There are plenty of beautiful sistas with weave, but I much prefer them without.

One thing is certain - if God ever blesses me with daughters they will NEVER get their hair permed. They will love who they are and never buy into the bullshyt idea of European beauty being the standard.

Mom has gone natural and so has my sister. Immensely proud of them.

i grew an 8-10 inch fro out last year then cut my hair this year when it got hot. now that it' cold again, i've been re-growing my fro for about 3 months. hair is already longer than these women that do the so called chop. how does this happen

nah, marcuz is right but i will admit that were not all like this and me and him are proobably lucky or something. i remember nikkas in highschool literally used to sneak behind me and run their fingernails through my scalp to find dirt or oil but couuldnt find shyt and couldnt fathom how my hair was like tha. they always wondered how i got my waves so the majority definitely uses those prodcts. all i would do is brush after a shower add doorag before school. and voila. nowadays i dont even sleep with a doorag...they can come whenever i want

I've never seen/heard any of my boys ever say they wanted their women to go natural. Most of them want long hair or braids on their women.

I've also heard the "I would never date a woman with nappy hair" BS before. Usually from some strugglin ass niccas chasin yellows and red bones.
