Federal Employees, how ya'll feeling?

I don’t get the hate against government workers. Most are just trying to support their families. This is a shyt show and the innocent are paying for it.

Most of the hate comes from the people that can't qualify for the jobs. Since they didn't better themselves in life to even meet the qualifications they want to punish everyone else because they're working dead end jobs with no upward progression or even PTO

Leadership talking about bringing in "contract workers" aka temp workers from an agency making $12/hour who will be on more smoke breaks than doing actual work

It’s a self fulfilling cycle of bad leadership —> government waste -> layoffs -> temp workers

Before I got established in my field I temped at DOE and the CNCS. Everyone in my department was a temp and there was no management. I had a tv on my desk and an office bigger than my bedroom. Outside of checking a few grant applications all I did was take smoke breaks and long lunches.

The DMV was one of my top choices to relocate to be near family on the East Coast. But people are saying this is a bad time to relocate especially to the DMV because you'll be competing against all the federal workers for jobs.

From the notes my director shared with us, every agency. Some may go away completely (smaller ones) or get pushed to a bigger one but that’s just the early rumblings. They have like 2-3 meetings a day since this admin took over and I swear shyt that gets said in the AM meeting is reversed by the PM. Nobody knows shyt when you asked in depth or clarifying questions

I know a chick over at Fed Financial Institutions council who had a subordinate fired while on FMLA. she was having a hard time functioning after the death of her mom. These folks have no soul bruh

Brotha, I’ve gotten banned out of so many Fed worker subreddits for saying that everyone involved in this should be doxxed like a mf. And wear that shame and embarrassment for the rest of their time on this earth, however long that may be. This event shows me the difference between places abroad and the US. The street would be burning in Paris or any other country where the people will destroy it all. We’ve become to conditioned to accept the bullshyt when in reality, these muthafukkas should be fearing us and not the other way around

Paris nearly burned down due to Macron raising the retirement age from 62 to 64. If America were any other country there would be a revolution by now. There would be mass protests akin to the Arab Spring.

There is no class solidarity among Americans. There's too much hyper-individualism and misinformation distorting the truth. And too many white people would rather cling on to the idea of white supremacy than embrace this country being a mutli-racial democracy.

ITs a multitude of things. One like someone said is they can't qualify for the jobs. Two, they jealous of the way we get treated, holidays, benefits, pay, harder to get fired after your probation period. Also folks like Trump and Elon use the federal government employees as reason why our debt so high and the reason why they pay taxes and higher prices basically making us an easier target rather than going after the real problems. Then we get articles saying that federal employment is helping black people reach middle class and higher so of course thats bad and the jobs must be handouts cause black people don't deserve or work for anything and everything is just given to them vs being the hard working white person.
