The primary reason this republicans and conservatives hate government agencies and so called bureaucrats is because they employ a lot of black people and it is how black people get to move into the middle class and get ahead in society, they have already dismantled affirmative action which has led to less black people getting into colleges and universities, now they want to ensure those who are college graduates and are eligible never have the chance to get employed as well.
They want black people back to the 50s and 60s where they were working the counter, bus drivers, menial jobs and never could challenge them credibly on serious issue, their dream society is one where a white man calls all the shots and still refers to black men as boys.

we had more black businesses in the 50s and 60s. Maybe society will slowly get back to that instead of complaining about keeping your job in the white mans government.

Elon himself receives massive amount of money from the federal government through contracting.
There is a very low chance that federal contracting will be impacted bigly by this.
I do feel the civil servants will be impacted majorly if he does do what he says he will do.
Anyone familiar with that space, the most stupid, inadequate, inefficient practices and people exist within the federal government.
I hope they can cut as much fat as they are able.
If you are not familiar with this sector you should not speak on it.

If the Feds are getting impacted then State, Municipal and Local governments are going to be impacted too. Private entities that work with government will also be impacted. This has gigantic debacle written all over it and Agent Urnge dumb voters won't know how bad shyt will get until government services impact them.

I'm a Fed worker. Everyone is on pins and needles right now. I'm using alot of my "use or lose" leave after Thanksgiving, but a lot of my employees are expecting something big.

I agree with @The Realist Perspective as well; I feel a lot of dumb people DO need to be let go. I'll look for one of my previous posts, but when Trump got in office the 1st time, I dealt with some of the worst people you can imagine. And all of them disliked me because I was young & black and they felt I didn't "deserve" my job. I expect more of the same these next 4 years.

Rumors that I've heard so far is:

-Fed workers over the age of 55 will be forced to accept a buyout to permanently retire
-They will add legislation to allow career employees to be fired/let go without consequence
-All(almost all) black clerical employees will be let go

I used to be a Contractor for the Federal government and it’s sad how Gov’t employees bear the brunt of the Public’s anger when contractors make way more for the same work because of the built in profit motive.
