people been saying that for decades when refuting the stats racists like to draw attention to. over policing and incomplete data collection heavily skews those stats.
Nah. During the time, people were saying they felt crime was going up due to their own experiences, news reports, etc. When we said this, others would call us crazy right wing c00ns who wanted to lock Black people up and they would throw these now proven incorrect stats in our faces as proof.

are more law enforcement agencies contributing data than in previous years? that rally the only thing that matters to to see if crime increased overall in states that contributed data in previously.

We even have some canadians in here thinking they can talk about whats going on in america while never touching american soil.

Maybe this site needs to die and internet needs to shut down for awhile to force you a lot of yall whether its reddit or here outside back to reality. Internet got you guys delusional to the point that its sad. It was funny how the sohh shutdown in 2008 due to hackers made the lames act right. :mjlol: it took one dumbass like how yall are acting, talking shyt to make a hacking group bring the entire forum to their knees. Delusional weirdos. Social media made shyt worse because now yall delusional weirdos are doing this shyt full time too offline and online.

Or it just says you like to deny anything that doesn't line up with your already made up mind.
Yes I like to deny stupidity from c00n nikkas like yourself who are too incompetent to post content without it immediately being identified as moron babble. The question is why don't you?

Do us all a favor and go sit your little goofy ass down somewhere you dunce, you clearly aren't intelligent enough to retort anything that I posted concerning the merit of this report from some hack local news station and now you've been reduced to childlike platitudes about internet website culture and being agreeable and that's becuse you clearly didnt have the mental capacity to think before you posted this obvious nonsense...you're a clown :mjlol:

Why would a "crime spike" not be relevant to any conversation discussing the tracking of crime :jbhmm:
Yeah they are comparing to before a crime spike but we've been lowering that spike the last 2 years. They are hiding the crime spike by measuring right before it happenned

Why are they arbitrarily comparing it to 2019. :mjlol: By that logic you can go pick a random year in the 90s when crime was higher and say how much it’s come down since 1992. Just silly shyt.

Because it was before the pandemic and before George Floyd and criminal justice reform. Which I think needs to be re-reformed. If you get caught shoplifting 50 times, bail should be set on your ass.

It’s called context. If you want to know why crime was higher from 2019-2023 than the previous four or five year period, it’s because of the extreme spike in 2020 and 2021.
This is again complete word salad babble. Do you even read this shyt before posting it? :mjlol: number 1 you obviously don't know the meaning of arbitrary, that's pretty clear.

Number 2, recognizing a "spike" in a data set doesn't give you an explanation of why the spike has happened, so no pointing out thy crime was higher in certain years doesn't tell you anything aside from the fact that crime was high during those years, which is why this article purposely doesn't compare current crime rates to those years and chose at random 2019. Also, no one was measuring a 4-5 period prior to 2019 in the first place, so what the fukk are you even talking about with that irrelevant ass gibberish? This thread is about 2023 vs 2019, as the articles headline is:

FBI data shows violent crime up 10.4%, property crime up 6.4% since 2019

Are you having difficulty comprehending what's written?

Now why would they intentionally choose to not make the headline about a more recent period where crime was obviously higher in a discussion about comparing current crime rates :jbhmm:

You really said all this just to sound stupid. Then made a point when you are the one that clearly didn’t read the article. It said crime “between” 2019-2023. Meaning, the years between 2019 and 2023. Not comparing only 2019 vs. 2023. If you actually clicked on the link, the article goes on to discuss crime rate in 2020, 2021, and 2022. Wow, you really fumbled this one bad just to look completely stupid.

1. What Federal laws have have been changed due to "George Floyd and Criminal Justice Reform" that would explain a spike in crime across the entire country that would justify using 2019 as your starting point instead of another more recent year :jbhmm:

2. Why would you intentionally exclude pandemic criminality, where there laws pertaining to crime on the books during that time? Did law enforcement not exist? Did jails close? What about that decision is logical to you... Explain.

What does that have to do with my point about this article not comparing data prior to 2019 as you just tried to argue? Do you even know what you're saying anymore goofy nikka?
Not comparing only 2019 vs. 2023.
As I just wrote, and am now needing to say again for your slow ass... The headline of the article is literally comparing 2019 to 2023 you dumb ass nikka:mjlol: did you think you actually had a gotcha moment?

Since you only read the headline, please tell me, what part of “FBI data shows violent crime up 10.4%, property crime up 6.4% since 2019” is comparing only 2019 vs. 2023 instead of crime between those years. Now, let’s then look at the article where the first sentence literally said “between 2019 and 2023.” Are you really this stupid? You’re putting on an act, aren’t you?
