Too many folks lack accountability and blame everything else but themselves.

I’ve been saying this forever. People always talking about “the devil made me do it”

less than half of police stations/precincts in the U.S report data to the FBI or state level agencies. if more agencies decide to voluntarily report than the rate of crime will go up in the stats.

I guess we ignore that a bunch of those crimes came when Covid shutdowns and general tanking of commerce had people out doing dirt. It was cats with little before who had nothing once covid hit and nothing to do. 2019-2023 covers a couple years between of super-heightened fukkery.

This is what folks saying the data was BS we’re saying all along :dead: simply not reporting crime =/= lower crime

people been saying that for decades when refuting the stats racists like to draw attention to. over policing and incomplete data collection heavily skews those stats.

No they don’t. They had to update the jobs numbers recently. About a million jobs weren’t real :francis:

Could have a whole topic about all these Ghost jobs. I got submitted to one against my will a few weeks ago :francis:

I think ghost jobs is the wrong term. I think incompetent hr recruiters are more accurate. They will stall out a hire for anything and can’t keep up with requisitions.

We had a crime spike in 2020 why would they compare it to right before a crime spike and not the year before or year over year?
Why would a "crime spike" not be relevant to any conversation discussing the tracking of crime :jbhmm:

Because the crime spike in 2020 is not relevant to whether there is one in 2024 given the reduction in crime.

This is complete word salad babble. If the crime statistics in 2020 don't matter in a conversation about 2024... Then neither would 2019 which is the basis of this thread as a "spike" in any metric can only be observed relative to what it's being compared to obviously.
