I went from demolishing 4k+ in calories on average to having to eat something because I forgot to eat something.

I did IF for a while. It doesn't fit for me because I work out in the morning but it had benefits.

It's really simple breh.

As far as the diet goes eat mostly protein and green veggies. Eat your carbs only after a workout. If you don't workout that day, limit your carb intake heavily.

Workout at least 2-3x a week to maintain/build the muscle you have.

Do some form of cardio everyday at least 30 minutes.

Follow that, you'll be good



Limit the fried foods. It's best to avoid them but I know that ain't really realistic.

Have a shake after the workout

I workout in the morning and I work in a restaurant so I'm on my feet all day. Wake up at 7 am and I close so i'm eating my meal of the day around 10pm

If you are eating that early and that late how is the fasting window anything past normal sleep patterns?

The fasting is eating small throughout the day and eating big at night, so having a shake or fruit or almonds is good.

I also wake up at that time but i'm not eating that early

yeah, also working out

cardio IS your friend as well as lifting 5x a week

don't say you don't have time because that hour or two you were bullshyting you could have worked out

you sleep 8 hours and never work out, ok now sleep for 6 hours so you can fit in a work out

I just went to a point in my life where I hated losing, be winners brehs and stop making excuses. YOU became big because of YOUR own fault no one elses, and in order to be what you want to be you need to shut the hell up and do it

sorry for sounding like a motivational speaker, but seriously I just did 27 miles(1000 calories) on the bike. I usually do 800 but I challenged myself. NO EXCUSES.

If you are short on time or want a good workout without buying a machine or weights. Pick up kettlebells..

For the gym, as everyone has already said pick a time that's good for you. Me personally I go at 5am, this helps to get it out of the way and it's less people there.

Great advice in here.

I lost 45 lbs in 2011

Didn't count calories. I just did elliptical for 45 minutes a day and really ate chicken, veggies and was as healthy as I could be. Cut out fast food and sugary drinks.

I'm tryna do it again but it has been so hard for me. Like...I can't even explain.

I have an office job and make more money and just can afford to eat what I want and it sucks.

I did pretty good this week.

Water, fruit and oatmeal for breakfast.

Grilled chicken and veggies for lunch.

And chicken veggies or chicken sandwich for dinner --- all homemade.


I'm trying hard but...it's hard.

I feel you about the office job thing and being able to eat out all the time.

It's funny though after I received a raise while I was happy I wanted all parts of my life to be fulfilling and being in shape is what's missing. I can't explain it, the pay increase really made me get off my ass.

real talk im probably the most out of shape niga on the coli..short fat niga got man boobs and shyt smh before i get any more depressed in life and off myself i want to make that change and lose some weight and i need the coli brehs help to do it...now before yall come in here spitting yall gym language and shyt just know that i cnt comprehend that shyt cus im a rookie...i just need a starting point tbh gonna start going to the gym this weeknd

it feels like that till you get a hang of things. Even if you stop and start just keep trying till you put up a decent streak of better eating and a little exercise. It is hard for sure at the beginning. dont give up.

Get a workout partner, it's the best motivation for me personally. I can't quit on my partners and they won't quit on me either .
