I mean it's pretty obvious Latinos have African blood and their music is of black origin. When I lived in New York years ago we lived side by side with Puerto Ricans and honestly I always saw them as light skinned blacks. I never got any vibes from them at all.

Caribbean culture is heavily rooted in african cultures though. Even white latinos dance to merengue and salsa, eat rice, chicken, plantains and beans and visit brujos

Yeah definitely mess with the salsa and merengue. I noticed that everywhere in the caribbean the food is similar. Some sort of rice and chicken variation. Some countries just do it different ways than others. Lot of pork in hispanic cuisine also. Not sure about the other countries but I imagine the same. I know my dads side has some afro-cuban in them, and my moms side has some spaniard. Everything got mixed together years ago.
