How do you think you deserve 15hr for a job that's takes one day of training for you to be replaced lol. They get paid 7.25 because they have no leverage. These workers going to end up like them MLB umpires years back.

Why do you feel as if your so much better than these people? Your a lot closer to these folks you look down on than the 1% and execs and CEO's.

And you can train someone in one or 2 weeks to do over half the jobs in this country. It's a service economy. I don't see much difference in the skill it takes to work at fast food then working retail, selling a car, turning wrenches in a factory, answering phones, or office admin and clerical work. And outside of execs and ceos, everyone is easily replaceable in corporate america. Computers and tech will replace most of those in the future anyway. They got robots than can perform open heart surgery these days... even doctors are not safe..

I don't feel I'm better than anybody. I do feel more intelligent due to the fact if I was making 7.25 I would still maneuver my way out that sh1t. Put me anywhere on gods green earth, I swear I'll triple my worth..

That's not living great. You can survive yes. But one hospital bill, car accident, or layoff and your in a mountain of debt you will never get out of.

I see where you're coming from, BUT its limited. It's not great but its more than surviving. You can save especially if you do as Beaniemac and I said, live with a roommate. Make smarter choices by not fukking hoes, use condoms, don't bust inside. For most salaries below 100k a hospital bill cripples you. Car accident; you can safely and easily afford car insurance. That would be a silly thing not to have. So great you dont have a car any more, you can still afford a bike, and take the bus. The bus usually has a bike rack on the front so you can traverse long distances around the city effectively. You can actually save money. There are many many luxuries you can scale back on. Hell in Nc when i was making 15.6 an hour I had a 2 bedroom 980 square foot apartment at 600 a month. And I was stubborn and lived by myself. Had I a roommate i would have saved soooo much money. But you can SAVE money thats the big thing. On that salaray with a roommate you can save and go to school to better yourself at the community college. With increased wages comes increased spending on stupid shyt also so that whole mountain of debt thing eh, takes a lot of financial training and education not to end up like that. Man this is complicated and deeper than this, the fukk im rambling bout again:shaq2:

30k a year is not doing well. After taxes that's just getting by. Even if your single and match the criteria above. And most people do have families they have to take care of on top of that. You can't save anything at that salary, you cant put away for retirement, have an emergency fund etc.. That's not doing pretty well. That's bottom of the barrel which is why it make sense to set that as the minimum wage full time working people should be earning in this country.
It depends on where you live fam. People live okay off less than that where I live. Nowin nyc yeah tthat ain't shyt. But I was strictly talking about my area

TELL ME YA CHEESIN FAM?

Dude 15/hr is balling money in most States

A huge portion of blue collar workers aint making that much

There are plenty of workers who have spent over a decade in factories and warehouses who aint making that much or just a dollar or 2 more
And these folks truly bust their asses for their money
fukk u think gonna happen when Mcdonalds,Wendy's,Burger King and Jack In The Box start paying their employees 15/hr?
You think those loud, rude, lazy, tatted up high school kids gonna have a chance at being hired to work at these fast food joints?:usure:

And i dont know why yall singling out Mcdonald's?popularity?what bout other fast food places?how much should they pay their workers?
Mcdonalds do not set employees' wages..the Franchisees do.

You should be asking Mcdonalds to lower their yearly Franchise fees before asking the Franchisees to raise wages

:russ: @ 30K balling in most states. How the fukk old are you nikkas and what do you eat? Ramen? Or do you only eat once a day? Do you have a car that requires gas, do you pay rent, and do you have any bills at all? Because I can't think of one fukking place in America where 30K is ballin.

I will say this though: :pacspit: McDonald's workers. Those restaurants are a cesspool of filth in general, I wish the 'restaurants' would close down period and they'd have to find new work. They have no business feeding that poison to the general public, and nobody deserves $15/hr to serve it.

30K per year in the midwest/south and you will live comfortable if you are a minimalist.

Honestly I can make it with 15K in Lexington easy because of who I am.
