The xbox series x is significantly more powerful than the ps5 and you'll notice it. This is before the differences you'd get just from ray tracing. Because of the price to create big budgeted titles, less and less studios can even afford to create games without risk of closing down if the game fails to generate enough profits. Because of this studios are afraid to be creative. And while a few still are, the budgets don't allow for as much freedom from most places. That's why the amount of "piff " shrinks each generation. This last gen was pathetic, with fanboys from either side not able to name 10 exclusive that are classics.
With that said, Microsoft has the deepest pockets in this matchup and they have invested billions into changing that. Not only have they created new studios with AAA gaming as its goal, but it purchased plenty of well known studios so those places can create without worrying about budgets or anything but creating great games. That's what they are doing, we see this. Sony? You got a weak system with hijacked spiderman dlc as your launch title. And a hope that a year afterwards you'll get horizon 2. Now name the new next gen AAA title they shown you. Dark souls remake? Ratchet and clank pt.12? Please

From what you've seen...you haven't seen shyt.
Moreover it always takes 2 years for the games to come out that look better than last gen, on top of graphical fidelity being one of the areas that just don't improve generation to generation as much anymore.

Horizon does, we'll see with Spiderman.
Point is dudes want the kind of jump that SNES and N64 had - graphics will never jump like that again. The difference will be in performance stuff like loading times.

Power dont mean shyt, 3DO & Atari Jaguar were more powerful than the Genesis, Snes, 64, etc.
Yet they lost big time.
Saturn was more powerful than all those above, and it flopped
Dreamcast was more powerful than PS1, N64, and could compete with the PS2. But look what happened.
Power doesnt mean shyt, its about the games that are made.

The games are what they are at this point. Anything coming out within 20-21 is not gonna see a significant over haul with out being drastically pushed back.
A year not gonna make the ps5 more powerful. The gen always starts off a lil slow and then ramps up about a third of the way in. Should be a lil faster as ps5 is a direct continuation of PS4, architecture wise.
