I think that is Sony aim for this generation is 1440P 60fps with checkerboarding for 4k if wanted.

The epic demo was 1440p and with Sony not having a dedicated ray tracing hardware resolutions will take a hit

4K/30-60fps both systems. AC already said 30 for the new AC game and Destiny announced they shyt is going to be 4K/60 on both systems

Native 4K is overrated anyway though. Nvdia's DLSS is a better solution until these GPUs have a huge leap. I have no idea what AMD is bringing to the table for this but they'll have some solution.It will affect both consoles also because they're not that far apart.

The PS5 has the same dedicated hardware acceleration for RT as the XSX as they're both using AMDs solution.

As far as this thread is concerned, it depends on what that particular dev is shooting for. I don't know why people like the OP have it in their head that the PS5 isn't capable of native 4k, or why he believes the XSX will be doing at native 4k what the PS5 can only do at 1440p.

Ubisoft did not say 30 for xbox, they made it clear that it was 30fps AT THE TIME. Game isn't done, all games are being optimized up until and even after release. Show us where they say locked at 30 or it didn't happen. Sony fans if in a position of power would make sure to make note of such things

PS5 GPU has less Compute Units, it won't be able to do RT at the same efficiency as the XSX GPU. It doesn't scale with frequency well, so Sony will never be equal there.

Nall they don't Sony is over 30 percent weaker in Ray Tracing capability
