To MLB's credit, aside from Intentional Talk, they definitely wanted to do their own thing as far as how they showed stuff. Also, NFL and MLB fans give more of a damn about guys other than the superstars. That's a product of there being more players of course, but you could have segments about how Nelson Arenado can help the Rockies without feeling like you made everyone change the channel. If it ain't about the superstars and the superstar teams, NBA fans generally don't give a fukk
i would like to see the NBA try a little "NFL AM" kinda morning show though because there's action everyday...as opposed to the typical 30 minute GameTime recap show all morning...just to mix things up a bit & have some fresh conversation.

Then again, that morning show is practically First Take throughout the season really. I dunno.

Breh, the average person who watches NBAtv cares more about the NBA than Bron and Durant.
If they had a show that talked in depth about the NBA in General, their ratings would go up.
Only diehard(or at least fans of the sport) watch NBAtv.

So you're in your 6th to 7th year since inception and you have no morning show that breaks down the games from last night?? You have what 12-14 games on the schedule for tonight(wednesday) and in the morning we'll get reruns of shytty azz Open Court where all they do is talk about old grudges and Jordan, Bird, Magic. You have to have some type of round table debate on your sports network. MLB and NFL has them. I guess that's okay for them to do it though:stopitslime:

Gotta get the personalities to make it work. Otherwise you'll get sick of Rick Kamla, Dennis Scott and (insert recently fired coach) every morning breaking things down not as good as Ernie /Kenny/Chuck/Shaq

The Association was a cool little show. They could eat up a lot of time daily by getting the faces of NBA journalism to do three different daily news shows like NFL Network does. Throw a half hour college basketball news show on there. Get a legit primetime flagship news/recap show and a legit morning show. Use Gametime for live game look ins. Get Webber and David Aldrige or something to do their version of PTI. Top 10 lists, player profiles and historic games fill in the rest of the time and you're set.

No doubt.. It would have to be a whole group to do this type of show.. And I only brought up a 'PTI-First Take' type of show as a starting point for the channel.. to get the ball rolling because a show like that is cheap to produce, especially since they have a studio and seemingly endless access to retired players and beat writers who might be ready for tv exposure-the next level.

Basketball culture is so deep..

-Get Bobbito and do a once a week show on the shoe culture or the famous street basketball courts from around the country.

-Get a Basketball junkie type host that goes to each NBA city-say for instance he goes to Boston- and he gets a player from the Celtics and they hit 2-3 food spots that the player loves to eat at. on some "Welcome to Boston, home of the Celtics, I'm Joe Shmoe and I'm hangin' with Rajon Rondo and today we're gonna show what he does after gametime and where he likes to get his grub on at, etc etc, etc"

-I'm telling ya'll this shyt is nothing!! the possibilities are endless:mindblown: but we got open court though right??

U right. At least have a game show or something.

Remember Ultimate Fan League on Fox Sports Net? That may be one type of show NBATV can make that could make even Kamla seem tolerable.

fukk Open Court, that's lazy programming at its finest. The :flabbynsick: sit around pow wow.. gtfoh!! Its cool every once in a while but I don't know why ya'll hype that bullshyt show. This is shaping up to be one of the best seasons yet.. its almost like that old NBA is back. You mean to tell me we can't get a 'First Take'- 'PTI'- 'Around The Horn' type show jumpin' off every morning, at least during the season??:why: They already have the studio, the graphics, and facilities to pull this off. A simple show like that is not an expensive production at all. Its not rocket science, get some guys on air and talk NBA. After all the fukkery from last night I got to wake up to Open Court?? And to get some NBA talk from ESPN I have to wait and sift-maneuver around the World Series and NFL talk:noah: unbelievable

-Of course they have the live games cracking off, but why not go all the way with this? Give the people what they want. The NBA is worldwide, they have the revenue, budget, and resources. MLB Channel and NFL Network's programming is amazing! Its f*cking 2013!! :mindblown:

I totally agree. its cool once in a while, but they play it over and over and over again. plus, why don't they have any other programming other than NBA Gametime that airs daily? and that's only in the evening. NFL network has shows 24/7 running live. NBA network should have the equivalent, but they too often show shyt that should be on ESPN classic and what not. I don't wanna watch replays of old playoff games/series all the time. especially in the off-season. they gotta step it up.

All i know is the NBA League Pass is absolute TRASH compared to the NFL Game Pass. And like somebody said it's 2013, there's no excuse.

another thing about NBA league pass, is for the umpteenth year in a row, my cable provider at least still ONLY provides one HD feed of the games. so if you have NBA league pass, you only get one of those games in HD, and the rest in shytty SD. who the fukk watch non-HD sports in 2013?????? :what:
