Being in the medical profession the best advice I can give is if u end up in the hospital always make sure ur proactive about ur care or have family watching ur back. Ask whenever they give u pills/perform a test, want to recommend a treatment, basically question anything. Not in an
@sshole kind of way but always be aware of whats going on to u. Outside of intensive care units every floor is understaffed in a hospital, some severly understaffed. Even if u have a good nurse its not possible for someone to look after 7 or 8 patients in a proper way. Not to mention u might run into an agency nurse or one who just has no idea what the hell they're doing and its not that uncommon. So u gotta look after urself otherwise ur running huge risks...obviously u might get looked at as a difficult patient by some but who gives a fukk. Thats ur health in the end.
Its even worse with doctors because they're looking out for 20-30 patients at minimum, who's history they barely know in passing. U think they're always gonna know whats best? Hell naw...if they start ordering tests and shyt that dont make sense be sure to question that heavily.
Nursing homes I dont even wanna get into...if u actually love ur family member ull never consider posting them up in one of those deathtraps
