To a person who stopped watching after the Attitude era, it would be much easier explaining Edge's title reigns than JBL's. At least Edge was a popular mid-carder during the Attitude era.

I stopped watching wrestling in 02 and didn't really watch anything again til like 07, but I remember turning on a show randomly and seeing Bradshaw as champ and being like wtf happened

I just turned that shyt off in disgust at how hard the product had fallen off

Dude, this happened to me when I came back a few years ago.

I was like "The skinny ass dude from The Brood" has been the 11 time champ?"

I never got what was great about the dude.

All the real stars got old and retired or just left. Edge fukked Matt Harveys girl so the strapped a rocket on his back on and now the wwe has 1000 titles and at times has had 3 world titles so world titles don't really mean shyt anymore.

You know, I wouldn't be surprised if Vince just liked how disrespectful Edge was for fukking Matt's girl and pushed him based on that
