Yeah but don’t you see the bullet points? It’s legit!

I agree with everyone saying he said no specifics and literally saying nothing...

Since you disagree, how can we quantify the success of the program?

Summary:

President Donald J. Trump’s April 23, 2025 Executive Order aims to strengthen America’s workforce by aligning federal investments with the country’s reindustrialization goals. It seeks to modernize and streamline workforce development programs, expand Registered Apprenticeships, and promote alternative credentials that match the skill needs of high-growth industries. The order calls for comprehensive reviews, reforms, and strategic investments to ensure American workers are prepared for secure, high-paying skilled trade jobs of the future.

Key Points:
  • Purpose: Equip American workers for emerging skilled trade and tech-driven jobs, and eliminate fragmentation in federal workforce programs.
  • Policy: Align workforce development funding with reindustrialization efforts and expand Registered Apprenticeships.
  • Review & Strategy (within 90 days):
    • Integrate systems and realign resources for future industry needs.
    • Identify ineffective programs and propose reforms or eliminations.
    • Promote innovation and upskilling of existing workers, especially regarding AI use.
    • Recognize alternative credentials to 4-year degrees.
    • Improve efficiency in data collection and performance measurement.
  • Apprenticeship Expansion (within 120 days):
    • Set a goal of 1 million new active apprentices.
    • Expand to new industries and scale nationwide.
    • Enhance connections between education and apprenticeships via existing federal programs.
  • Transparency and Accountability:
    • Improve tracking of workforce program outcomes using earnings and employment data.
  • Implementation: Subject to existing laws and funding availability; does not create enforceable legal rights.
So his goal is to train people for factories that are not built yet, for jobs that will never exist because of automation?

That‘s his fukking plan?

This is what you do BEFORE you initiate a trade war. :snoop:
DING DING DING…..

Trump is a stupid motherfukker. He could have spend 2-3 years building infrastructure/factories and training workers and then in year 3 do a trade war and he might have made it work.

shyt that stupid motherfukker could have took his time and went into trade wars with separate regions and then built the infrastructure they needed.

He literally chose the laziest and stupidest way to do his trade war and has accomplished nothing.

I think he thought he could bully his way…many countries were buddying up to him…except China

Are we angry at this :lupe:

at this point if you still believe they'll do anything positive for the working class.... :francis:

attack unions, consumer protections, labor protection board, weaken environmental laws etc...

same people claim they're about free-speeech rights are arresting college students and deporting them because of their speech.

Absolutely! Here’s a simplified summary of what the executive order says, broken down into plain language:

What’s the Main Idea?

The President wants to make sure American workers have the skills for today’s and tomorrow’s jobs, especially in high-demand industries. This involves updating how the government helps people get job training and supporting apprenticeship programs.

Key Points Explained Simply

Why Are We Doing This?

  • The government wants to help workers get the training they need for well-paying jobs in industries that are growing or coming back to the U.S.
  • Right now, government job training programs are confusing and sometimes not effective. The goal is to make them work better.

What’s the New Plan?

  • The government will review all existing job training programs and suggest ways to improve, combine, or get rid of the ones that don’t work.
  • They want to make it easier for workers to learn new skills, especially those needed by employers in high-growth areas.
  • They’re focusing on supporting apprenticeships (where you learn on the job) and want to create over a million new apprenticeship opportunities.

How Will This Happen?

  • Secretaries of Labor, Commerce, and Education will lead a review, and within 90 days, provide a plan to better help American workers.
  • They’ll look for ways to make training programs more useful, update them for new technology (like AI), and make it easier to earn credentials without always needing a 4-year degree.
  • They’ll also make the results of these training programs clearer, so everyone knows if they actually help people get good jobs.

Transparency

  • The government will share more information on whether these job programs actually help people get jobs and earn more money.

Legal Stuff

  • Nothing in this order changes existing laws or gives people new legal rights—they’re just instructions for government departments.
In a Nutshell:
The government wants to fix job training, support apprenticeships, and make sure workers are getting the right skills for good jobs in America’s new industries. They’ll check what’s working, improve or cut what isn’t, and make results more transparent.
