I’ve listened to nothing but this since Friday. I can’t remember the last time I had an album on repeat for this many days.

I said earlier in this thread I don’t think this will top Cats & Dogs but now I think it has a chance. I liked it a lot of the first couple of listens but it’s getting better the more I listen which doesn’t happen much for me.

The last verse in Won’t Give Up The Danger is really deep knowing what he’s gone through the last few years.

The Fly Anakin verse is growing on me too. I was real annoyed at his verse at first, because I was vibing to that instrumental and I thought Ev's verse was perfect. But Anakin is starting to fit with the beat and I'm vibing with it more.

The only joint on here that hasn't grown on me is Start The Day With a Beat. I don't know why. I like off-kilter stuff, and I think it's cool that his son helped him make the beat and also is part of the vocal samples. It reminds me of some a DOOM style beat, but it's just not landing with me.

Sharks Smell Blood was one of my least favorites the first couple days I was spinning this, but @subletteafterdark told me it reminded him of some Sean Price Monkey Barz shyt, and then I started hearing that, and now it's one of my favorite joints on the album.

Oh yeah, and maybe I said it earlier, but Talking to the Audience was originally a full song with a hook and multiple verses. I really wish he had kept the whole thing. As soon as I start getting into it, it cuts off. Hopefully he'll put it on the Deluxe Edition.
:mjcry:

I've also been listening to basically nothing but this album since Friday though. I can't even compare it to any of his other albums right now, but I do love this.

Always skipped over this guys work but the first few tracks (especially that “Sharks Smell Blood” joint) got me intrigued

You're probably in for a pleasant surprise. If you listen to anything else from him, I wouldn't go all the way back to Weatherman, which is what a lot of people would say.

I'd suggest Cats & Dogs or Weather or Not.

This album sounds way more minimalist and subdued than his Weather series solo projects so far. Most of those have bigger sounding beats, more features, etc.

Weatherman LP was flames. I think he would like that one.
